Pint at Stub & Herb's. Clear with a good head... somewhat darker than I thought it would be. Light and crisp on palate with an appropriate malt base that keeps it well from being watery. Certainly hoppy but hops are in the backseat... highlight to me is the light sweetness and bready character; and yet a clean and refreshing taste.
Well balanced with a lingering but mild bitterness at the end of the crisp finish. Very drinkable beer, I will buy it again.

12 oz bottle poured into a lager glass.
A - Light amber. Fluffy white head stays with excellent retention. Nice lacing.
S - Pine and sweet citrus.
T - Strong hop profile starts with pine and finishes with sweet citrus and malts. Bitter aftertaste mellows if one lets the beer sit several minutes.
M - Medium creamy
O - I've tried this 3 times before and it was always skunky and obnoxiously bitter. A very good lager, but be careful with the expiration date and where you buy it. Cheers!

There is not really an appropriate category under the BJCP for this, so I just rated it in terms of my enjoyment.
Appearance: Light, pale copper; clear. 2 fingers of light tan head, rocky. Ample, continuous carbonation with decent 1/8" retention. Outstanding lacing.
Aroma: Light, tart citrus. Smells like an APA. Really is a pleasant, hoppy, clean aroma.
Taste: Light, dry, clean arrival. Dry & salty across mid-palate. Solid, but not overpowering bitterness. Super-clean finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-to-mid weight. Crisp, clean, astringent.
Overall: This starts out like an APA, then when you expect that malt backbone to come in at the end, it just drops off. Despite that, it doesn't feel out of balance the way many west-coast IPA's do. Instead, it just feels sort of empty. Beautiful to look at & smell, and would certainly be a go-to for a hoppy session beer; but if drinking just one, it leaves a lot wanting.
