A - crystal clear copper body, small white head.

S - Grassy, citrusy, earthy. Nice hop profile. This is on-par with a lot of straightforward IPAs.

T - Malty first and foremost. Some caramel malts, and a dry finish. The hop profile is mostly bitter, not a lot of flavor coming from there.

M - Powerful on the tongue with carbonation.

O - this is fine, easy drinking, nothing special. Smells nice.

Poured a nice amber with a one finger white head. Very pretty. Scents of pine and citrus, heavy on grapefruit, with some very faint lager fruitiness. Quite enticing. Flavor is of citrus, grapefruit pith and grapefruit heavy, pine notes dominate on the finish which is quite bitter. Malt and lager yeast flavors are minimal, leaving the hops to dominate. Mouthfeel is light bodied with high carbonation, very much like a lager. This beer is excellent, showcasing the West Coast hops, with minimal interference from malty sweetness. I thought I would have to homebrew an IPL, but apparently I wasn't the only one to think of trying this, and it seems to work quite well. A hit by Boston Beer Company.

P- Wegmans

A- clear crisp golden color. 1 and half finger head that is fluffy and mountainous. Nice lacing on mug.

S- heavy on the citrus notes. grapefruit, pineapple and pine hops. no malt detectable.

F- grapefruit and pine come to the front with some biscuit wheaty malt in the background.

M- dry and refreshing. It is good on a hot spring day from what i just experienced. Very realxing and goes down smooth.

O- Not a bad beer and you cant go wrong with too many sam adams. a nce fail safe if out at a bar and its on tap with BMC's.

Pours a clear darkish amber with a bright white head.

The smell is citrus, yeasty, smell like what you would expect from a lager with extra hops in it.

The taste is citrus, a little sweet, finishing slightly bitter, tastes like what you would expect from an extra hoppy lager.

The mouthfeel is light with medium carbonation.

This was a very tasty beer, one of the best sam adams beers in my opinion.

Number 3 on the Hop Tour. Pours a rich copper amber with a short lasting frothy white head that gives way to...well, nothing. The beer does have some legs and leaves a little lacing but on the whole is quite thin. The aroma is pleasant with a large amount of citrusy hops and a nice malty backbone. The flavor follows the nose with a hop forward bitterness and a generous amount of citrus and grassy notes. This is an enjoyable pour; nothing outstanding but a great beer on a hot day or after a long shift. Definitely enjoyable but not of note.

Pours a hazy golden yellow amber with a long lasting white head and lacing. Aroma and Taste of pine citrus hops, caramel malt, sweet fruity notes and mild bitterness, some light grapefruit tangy notes. A medium palate, crisp with moderate carbonation. Has a nice malt finish balance by pine citrus and slight tangy grapefruit notes. Has a bit of lager in it. Overall a good drinking brew.
