Served on draft into a perfect pint. Never had heard of this before...bartender said it was a new seasonal. Was listed on the menu as a cream ale, but there's no way in hell. Probably a brown ale, based on what the beer looked like

A- pours a transparent shade of brown with a one finger tan head that fades pretty quickly. About what you'd expect from a brown ale, nothing extravagant

S- a huge smash of chocolate comes through in the nose, and completely dominates the aroma. Didn't expect that at all, but it smells lovely

T- chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate. Incredibly sweet, but not overly so. No bitterness to speak of. Awesome

M- body is paper thin, but that helps out a lot with how flavorful the beer is

O- this is fantastic. Not sure if this is a one-off, a test batch, or what, but it was fantastic, and kicks the hell out of the Chocolate Bock

Chocolate Squirrel is a deep amber-red color, and it's completely clear though the color is certainly on the darker side. It's got a creamy tan head, barely under one finger, that hangs around and doesn't fade much while lace breaks off in patches here and there.
The nose is pointed and direct, with milk chocolate and cocoa powder taking over. The malts are enough to lay it on, though, accentuating with hints of caramel and a hint at a mingling of toast and roast. Really, though, unless one really goes at it, it's all sweet chocolate.
The taste brings out a little more to it from the accentuating work of the caramel and toast, but otherwise the milk chocolate and cocoa powder are the main event.
The body, on the light end of medium, displays crispness and smoothness in good and equal measure. They do fade off just at the end of the sip, though.

Had at Roc City Brew Fest on tap. Smelled exactly like a Tootsie roll. Taste did not disappoint either. Went back for 4 or 5 more samples of this one. Apparently others caught on because it was kicked shortly after. Will I ever see this one again? I sure hope so.

Logged from notes. Served on tap at the Beer Hoptacular 2012. Appearance is a reddish brown with small white head, very light in apperance for a a brown. Nose is straight tootsie roll chocolate, complete with that waxy artificial milk chocolate flavor. Taste has sweet caramel as the main note with mashmallow and limited chocolate. There is barely any body on this brew with an overall light feel. Overall, the tootsie roll-a-licious nose does not come through on the flavor which hurts this brew overall. Definitely an interesting little brew.
