12oz bottle, Enjoy before Oct 2014
L - creamy ivory head fades to a foam atop a brilliant deep amber colored ale
S - sweet, juicy, fruity tropical fruit with bread and caramel
T - sweet and juicy; caramel and bready malt backbone with juicy, floral, tropical, hops. A bit earthy and peppery spice on the finish. Eucalyptus flavor does come though, but I don't think I would have named it without the hint that the label noted
F - medium body, creamy, smooth, finishes clean
O - I like this one more than the East Kent Goldings single hop, but that was a given.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, best before 10/2014. Pours crystal clear orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of peach, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, mango, floral, grass, light pine, caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of peach, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, mango, orange peel, floral, grass, light pine, caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of peach, pineapple, tangerine, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light pine, caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and fairly creamy/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice single hop IPA. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt sweetness; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Poured out of a 12 oz bottle into my Sam Adams beer glass, this beer pours a clear, medium amber color. Has a nice, fluffy white head that is about an inch thick when poured. Eventually settles to a nice thick ring lining the inside of the glass along with quite a nice surface coating of foam and lost of lacing. Quite excellent in fact in the lacing department here! Aromas of nice, slightly toasted, caramel malt, some spicy nuttiness, and the distinct fruityness brought on by the Mosaic hops. Has a good, slightly toasted caramel malt sweet flavor front that gives way to the aforementioned spicey nut-esque flavor and is rounded out by somewhat bitter hops with hints of orange and pineapple for sure! Has a slightly crisp and prickly, smooth, slightly sticky, a bit frothy, medium to full bodied mouthfeel with light to moderate carbonation and a dry finish and somewhat bitter aftertaste. A very good, solid effort here indeed from the fine folks at The Boston Beer Company!

This orange-amber beer features a pretty small head--looks just like the previous deconstructed one I poured. The aroma is definitely better than the hallertau though--this mosaic has a really nice kind of toasty, spicy nut character. It's a delight to smell. I haven't encountered this before. Definitely better tasting too, with high bitterness, delectable hop flavor. Malt is present but the drying effect of the hops keeps it from the sweet overall character of the hallertau. Dry finish.

Now this is a decent beer. Better than the original Latitude by a long-shot. I've still got a simcoe to try tonight, but I doubt it will top this. SA should definitely make this a permanent edition.
