Appearance: pours well and has a nice copper red color. Had a nice creamy head about half inch thick.
Smell: Had a eath type citrus smell. was very unique
Taste: tasted a nutty caramel flavor with a citrus flavor towards the back of the throat and I had a nice taste of smoothness. There is some bitterness not much but enough to be noticeable.
Mouthfeel:had a slight hit of bitterness in my mouth but went down smoothly I find this to be a smoother beer from Samuel Adams
Overall: Overall I highly recommend this beer, goes well with grilling foods

Samuel Adams Latitude 48 IPA - 6% ABV - Consumed March 27, 2013.

A: pours a clear copper hue with a thick, off-white cap and strands of stringy lacing on the shaker glass. Lively bubbles in the body. Solid looking brew.

S: honeyed wheat cracker, peach, steeped tea, navel orange, herbal hops, slightly earthy and mineral-like aroma, jujube candy, biscuit, faint lemon. Very appealing nose, but closer to an ESB than a US IPA (too mild).

T: peach, honey, pine, green tea, mango, caramel, herbal and zesty hops, lemon, and bread crust. Tastes like an English/US IPA hybrid. Enjoyable and unique.

M: medium bodied, juicy-oily middle, zesty and citric hop bitterness with a clean, drying finish. Simple yet satisfying palate.

O: well-rounded, thirst quenching, above average IPA with some English IPA/ESB elements. Tasty and drinkable even though it’s not exactly on style.

Poured from the bottle into a Turbinator (hey, proper glassware for once)

A: Deep orange with active carbonation. the Turbinator's exciter ring of dots does its job. with a good stream that leads to a very tight head, almost looked nitrocharged. head is a nice rocky two fingers that settles to a slender girls' pinky of head.

S: Citrus, astringent Bitter melon. Cumin and earthy scents are presenting as gentle, not like other huge Mosaic DIPA I had lately. malt is similar to the Boston Lager profile, Caramel or Vienna probably, Yeast is not interfering but gives a light a light spicy backbone to the toastiness.

T: Citrus, melon, earthiness and yield to a spicy and then sweet, lightly toasted breadiness.

M: Smooth as expected, that feels like a nitro charge again. prickly on sides, puckery on sides. malted sweetness combines with elements to make a pleasant finish that is not overly bitter or dry, just nice.

O: This is a very good use of the new school hop Mosaic and does not beat you over the head with it, but the approach is well worth the time to sit with it and sip a spell.
