Pretty big white head settles into a small biscuity mound above a clear bright golden colored beer that is filled with little suspended particles.

Floral strawberry aroma with a slight bit of grain malts sneaking in there. As this beer sits some the aroma seems to lessen.

A light strawberry kool-aid taste is shared with a light inert grain maltiness.

A dryish aftertaste that holds a little bit of the strawberry taste with it on this light bodied beer.

Not bad if you like strawberries, but I think Sea Dog does this better.

Pours straw colored with 3 fingers of pearl white head. Good head retention & lacing

S: Strawberries & grassyness

T: Strawberry tartness, grassyness & lemons up front. Green apple, dryness & tart strawberries as this warms. Finishes slightly tart with green apple & strawberry, plus dryness

MF: Light/medium body with fairly firm carbonation

Better than I thought it would be, but after a couple I would grow tired of this, just not in my wheelhouse

Sorry but this beer is a joke. Obviously sam adams dropped a good deal of artificial strawberry flavoring into a mediocre wheat beer or pale lager. The label says that it was brewed with fresh strawberries and, while it smells as such, there is not even the slightest hue of red. I'm not kidding, if you took one strawberry and dropped it in a 5 gallon carboy you would get 10 times the "reddish" color of this brew

A: Looks like your typical wheat ale, yellow with a slight orange hue. Very little carbonation and a decent amount of sediment.

S: Strawberry fields forever...

T: Like a strawberry...with some bitterness. Too much bitterness, the strawberry craves for some tartness.

M: Thinish

O: Fake, very fake. Very drinkable but not enjoyable. I mean I knew Sam Adams couldn't afford to brew a mass produced fruit beer, but this is way too fake. I wish they could have respected the home brewer enough to say "we can't afford to brew your recipe in large quantities."

...strawberry fields forever

Poured a crystal clear golden yellow with a thin white head.

The smell was fresh strawberries and nothing else.

The flavor is pretty much light strawberry with not much in the way of beer flavor. The strawberry flavor isn't bad, it tastes fairly authentic and isn't overly sweet, but still dominates the beer completely.

The mouthfeel is a bit light and fizzy.

If you love strawberries this is for you, if you want beer get something else.

Man, the nose on this beer smells like my sister's Strawberry Shortcake doll when she was a kid, or something. Pretty powerful and all up in your nose, until the beer sits for a few minutes and it has toned down. Honestly makes me apprehensive about drinking it. And apparently, rightfully so. Way pungent and strong strawberry tones. Smacks me in my mouth and, ouch, I do not like. No real balance. At least until it sits for a bit, and like the nose, calms down. The whole thing seems to harken back to the days of fruit beers that purely focused on a fruit being a beer, and leaving it at that. This is consistent and thorough, but just not for me.

Pours a clear golden straw color with a huge fluffy white head that slowly dissipates. Smells of strawberry candy and a light sweet malt somewhere back there. The flavor is sweet berries of straw with a light lager beneath it. Little to no hop aroma or flavor. Medium to light body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet sugary mouthfeel. Kind of one dimensional, reminded me of a wine cooler at times, but I've had worse.

Found the Long Shot 6-er at the COOP last night... Getting around to them tonight. Pours with a long lasting 1 finger white head atop a slightly hazed golden brew. Nice lacing for the entire glass.

Nose smells like real strawberries and not artificial... sorta processed perhaps, like jam... but real strawberries... maybe some pale maltiness that carries the berry essence... no hops... smells pretty good.

Wow... again, surprisingly straight up strawberry essence... not much else going on.. just enough pale malt... a bit of something that I associate with "metallic flavor" on the finish.

Nice light body with good carbonation.

I was skeptical, but I like this one.

August notched on the label.

Straw yellow colour, 1 inch head of foam.

The smell is ALL strawberries. Not my fav fruit by any means but I had zero hate against the smell of them.

The taste is certainly authentic. Strawberries....the beer is brewed with them so I expected it would taste of them and to be honest, I'd rather drink this than eat fresh strawberries. Weird, eh? For the like of me, I can't pull out any other flavours but I can't complain. For a fruit beer naming the fruit used, this is on the mark. A nice homebrew that Samuel Adams gave a chance for others to try.
