Tan with orange tinges and clear, about a finger of head, which settled into a nice off white cap.

Aroma and flavor are very nice, good and hop forward, a little oily, piney, grapefruit, just a touch of fruitiness. Malt balances out but isn't very forward.

Fairly dry and good but not too much carbonation. Overall impression is that it's a tasty beer and I'm happy to have a few more left in the fridge./

Best by date of Dec is notched on this one

A: poured into an IPA glass to a clear light gold topped by three fingers of dense slightly off white head with good retention and nice lacing
S: smells of citrus, pine and floral hops with a little caramel sweetness
T: taste is muted hops with whispers of citrus and pine with some slight caramel sweetness. swallow is a good blast of hops on the back end with some oily floral notes that linger for some time
M: Medium on the mouth with soft and slightly prickly carbonation with a refreshing finish
O: A little weak on the front but makes it up on the back. Could be better but it isn't terrible and the hop flavors are there.

I know other people want to compare it to a full ipa and with that in mind I would give it a around a 3.5. However if I review it for what I feel like it is... I don't want to say that it's a light tasting IPA as it has a full flavor just not the full bitterness one would come to expect with a west coast IPA. It has a (and I don't like fruit flavored beer) fruity impact of grapefruit. Not sweet or overly powerful just a hint of citrusy grapefruit along with a light touch of pine. It's an IPA you can drink more than two of and they still taste fresh.

Just my two cents... Spend them or don't ;D

Yeah... This beer is not rebelling against anything. The overload on cascade hops is somewhat... no, it's exactly like the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. The main difference between the Sierra Nevada pale ale and this beer is that the Sierra Nevada is original and has a better finish than the chinook doped contraption conceived by sam adams. Since the price is virtually the same for a 6 pack. Go with the original. Go with Sierra Nevada
