L: An inch of head that was sudsy and tooth white formed leaving a an eighth to a quarter inch afterwards. Nice lacing also. The color is about a 4-5 on the SRM and very clear.

S: The hops and esters hit me first with a grapefruit and plum like aroma. Not much in the way of toastiness for the malt maybe a hint. There is a slight sweetness to the aroma.

T: There is a definite rich breadiness and an obvious citrus presence I would say grapefruit. There is also a grassy presence on the hops end with the overall hops flavor being medium high. I also noticed some peppery and pine wood like characteristics. Very nice.

F: The mouthfeel is creamy and has a medium high body. There's a fizziness to the carbonation and it has an overall dry finish.

O: This is a good beer. Sam Adams usually does their work and this beer is no exception. I'd recommend this IPA!

Deep gold with thick, tight white foam. Smells like centennial hops with lemon notes. Green grass and grapefruit plus lemon zest. Medium lite mouthfeel. Resinous hoppy tongue coating. West coast, but not hop overpowering. Nice.

The thing with Sam Adams is you always (with every beer) get that Sam Adams malt/yeast backbone.

This happens to be a damn good IPA. Anyone that says it isn't "hoppy enough" isn't talking sense. It's just very well complimented by the Sam malts. There's plenty of hoppiness here.

If you like malty, hoppy IPA's, then this will be right up your street.
Readily available and well priced. You can't get a better IPA for your buck.

Don't listen to negative (anti-mainstream) reviews.
Cheers.

Not impressed. Was hoping for better from a great Brewery. Not really a West Coast IPA... Not enough hop taste and too much malt. Ok if you're looking for a mediocre IPA. I guess. You taste buds have been spoiled by Knee Deep Brewery and El Segundo

On tap at Swinging Chicken Saloon.

Pours a clear amber, left a half inch white head that dissipated slowly, left moderate lacing on the glass.

Piney, sweet hops take the start, a nice toasted malt barley takes the finish.
Not bad at all.

Medium-light bodied, light carbonation, crisp finish.
