Beautiful light amber color, very clean. Average white foam.
Fresh, hoppy smell, with some spicy note. Light bretta.
In the mouth too, good taste, alcohol present but not too much.
Pleasant, with a light bretta note. Interesting.
Light fruity note (white peach), and something floral. And a good hop.
Fresh and pleasant.

Poured from a 750mL bottle into a wine glass. Served lightly chilled.

Nearly clear goldenrod body with dark amber highlights and an active upthrust of magnolia meringue which slowly recedes to a thick mousse-y finger leaving dense tendrils of lace in its path.

Pears, apples, and faint citrus in the nose along with a secondary wave of cloves, lavender, and an herbal/floral flourish underscored by clean slightly biscuit-y malt.

Mineral-laden hoppy palate entry, peppery with a lingering moderate bitterness. Citrus and spicy/earthy flavors vie for your attention wit the latter qualities winning out by lasting longer into the medium-dry finish. Slightly tart and phenolic with a gentle yet distinctive yeast character. A very clean rendition of the style with few traces of the farmhouse.

Soft, effervescent, medium-light body with ample carbonation.

Quite hop-forward, suggesting an American influence despite this being a Belgian product, though the yeast retains a leading role.

Pours a light orange copper color. Fairly clear despite the fact that it's opaque. The head is bright white and a finger and a half thick. Attractive head with different sized bubbles, good retention and nice lacing when it does finally dissipate.

Slight funkiness in the smell which is appreciated, but it's not strong enough. There is a peppery spice scent that overwhelms anything else that's present. Some IPA qualities with faint pine and citrus notes.

Tastes more like an IPA. A lot of pine tastes, along with the aforementioned pepper. No funky Belgian yeast presence, nor any Belgian sugar. No fruity taste whatsoever.

No sweetness, no funky tart feel, it's all hoppy bitterness and peppery spice. I'd never guess this was a saison, instead guessing it was some sort of pale ale.

Overall, this is a swing and a miss. In addition to not being a very good saison, it's not a very good beer in general. Even after it warms a bit, the smell and taste don't work. Very disappointing, particularly for $13.99.

Poured into a tulip from a 750ml bottle.

A: Large foamy head, diminishing to something more normal after a few sips. Nice chunky lacing. Pale copper color verging on golden with medium activity bubbling. Slightly cloudy.

S: Nose is orange and clove(?), white pepper maybe. Hay and grass notes (summer!!!). Very slight barnyard going on here. Fruity hops.

T: Bitter and nicely bright on front on tongue. Notes of mild pine and hay on the tongue and mid. No real funk in the mouth despite the brett. Finish is dominated by the hops, dry with no real alcohol on it (impressive for a 8.0% ABV brew), but still warming me nicely after a few sips. Long but dry.

M: Brightness and mild acidity keeps things light though the mid-pallet. Dry and somewhat thin, but not at all in a bad way. Medium-light body belies the ABV.

A good brew. A slightly different take on a Saison, but nothing too out of the ordinary - the increase in hop notes is nice. Would balance a heavy fatty holiday meal nicely, while making you pine for the golden days of summer. Would drink again. Nice to find a Saison in the winter.

Digging the label brewery name (It's not TOOL, but I can pretend :]). 750 capped bottle to my newly received CBS snifter.

Pours a nice medium orange color, with a light white head of a couple fingers. Leaves nice lacing.

Aroma is surprisingly floral hoppy, with citrus tones, citrus peels, white pepper, some slight hay/barnyard funk and a bit of fruity, yeasty esters.

Taste has a nice bitter front, with some lemon peel and orange zest, big spicy peppery notes, slight fruity yeast notes,a slight funkiness and a bitter end.

Feels crisp, carbonation is very noticeable. There's a slickness about it and it's got some body to it.

Poured into a Saint Somewhere wine-style glass. No freshness date.

A- Pours a medium amber color with a full inch of off-white head that retains very well before becoming an 1/8 inch head and soft, fluffy frost-like (imagine that) lacing adhering to the glass.

S- Yeasty, effervescent aroma with notes of pineapple, orange and even lime. There's also some malt sweetness backing it.

T- Pretty straightforward flavor that has some tangy citrus to it. The alcohol is very well-hidden. Slightly tart and a bit rich from the yeast.

M- Somewhat spritzy with medium carbonation and a lightish body.

O- Has all the makings of a good saison but doesn't really follow through with the "wow" factor. Still, very easy drinking for the ABV and there's nothing necessarily wrong with it.

A: The beer is slightly hazy golden yellow in color. It poured with a finger high fluffy white had that died down but consistently left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: There are light to moderate aromas of citrusy hops in the nose.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has some citrusy flavors.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very dry on the palate with a moderate to high amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and would be quite refreshing as an accompaniment to food given its dryness.

Poured from a bottle into a snifter.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy amber with two fingers of cloudy off white head that fades to a layer on top of the pour and leaves mild lacing.

Smell: Light and herbal with just a touch of malt sweetness. Very nice.

Taste: Just like the smell, the main components are light and herbal. There is just a hint of citrus tartness and some bitterness in the finish. Very nice and easy to drink.

Mouthfeel: Medium body with smooth and tingly carbonation and a mildly dry finish.

Overall: This is so easy to drink. This is just what I want from a Saison. Big fan and I would have another.

On draft at The Railroad Street Bar & Grill...
Appears a transparent light gold with small white cap that quickly fades into a mild cap.
Smell is of pils malt, chamomile, black pepper, sunflowers, daisies, and honey.
Taste is of the aromas with a sweet blast of flavorful fresh earthy sweetness. A hint of lemony tartness is found in the background.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, sticky, slick, and semi dry in the finish.
