On Tap at the Meddlesome Moth 10/19/13
A: Yellowish orange with small white head. Very clear
S: Hoppy citrusy. Peach and vanilla notes as well.
T: Lots of peach and vanilla. Interesting profile for a beer, unlike much else I have ever had. Smooth and well balanced, Hops and pine flavors combine well with the citrus elements.
F: Light body and carbonation
O: Living in Texas I do not get the chance to have much Cigar City. This collaboration excites me to try more of their stuff. Exceptional beer.
Serving type: on-tap

portion of a 750ml bottle served in a Belgian snifter.
Pours the color of honey; hazy.
Aroma: spot on given the "Tropical Tripel": there's a substantial note of coconut, pineapple, citrus and other tropical fruits plus a Belgian tripel in the background. A subtle trace of oak.
Flavor: the base ale makes a stronger appearance in tasting where it is nicely balanced by the fruits and a hint of coconut. Appropriately sweet but eventually leaves a mildly bitter aftertaste.
