Served a hazy orange marmalade color with hardly any head. Smell is heavy on vanilla and fruit (both actual fruit and yeasty smells). Flavor at first is pleasant. I don't pick up much coconut, but I get a lot of peach from the fruit used, mango and pineapple from the yeast, and vanilla. This is ridiculously sweet. Where is this dryness that I read about in the reviews? Mouthfeel is sticky. Could use a lot more carbonation to cut through it. Overall, it has some good flavors going for it, but it's kind of a sweet, boozy mess overall. Don't recommend this.

portion of a 750ml bottle served in a Belgian snifter.
Pours the color of honey; hazy.
Aroma: spot on given the "Tropical Tripel": there's a substantial note of coconut, pineapple, citrus and other tropical fruits plus a Belgian tripel in the background. A subtle trace of oak.
Flavor: the base ale makes a stronger appearance in tasting where it is nicely balanced by the fruits and a hint of coconut. Appropriately sweet but eventually leaves a mildly bitter aftertaste.
