Poured into a snifter.

A - Slightly hazy light orange color. Maybe a little hint of light yellow in there. Good looking beer, always like to see a little haze. Very clean overall though.

S - The smell on this just blows me away. It's is a tropical paradise, getting some coconut and mango/tropical fruit sweetness. A nice hop aroma hits aiding in the tropical notes and giving it a little dankness. Delightful smell.

T - The taste also knocks me out on this..following the nose basically with a soft bitterness. Getting some coconut in the back end. Absolutely no alcohol presence for a 9.5er. Finishes nice and dry.

M - This beer goes down nice, slight enhanced mouth feel I'm sure from the coconut. It is nice, not much else to say.

Overall this beer is great! I would highly recommend it, while the price point is pretty high at 16.99, I can almost justify it for this beer. Mostly a b-day treat for me though, glad I tried it!

Doin' it hard at Haven's 4th anniversary party in Orange, CA.

This done sucker is throwing Raul through a loop like Danica Patrick trying to navigate an oval. It has great, luscious tripel textures; and that tropical spice like Elvis doing "Blue Hawaii" is all kinds of splendid and just off the hook.

Just lovely. Just lovely for Raul.

Pours hazy to cloudy, with an autumnal auburn and dark orange glow. The head disappoints, however.

It has a nectary fruit aroma with classic Belgian pale notes of peach, apricot, and browned apple. Hints of sweet nectary pineapple mesh with prominent yeast and bready malt notes.

Sweet tropical fruits, candi sugar, alcohol, and breadiness. Nectarine, coconut, apricot, peach, and pineapple. Light apple and grapefruit. Bready with a caramel bent. Spicy booze reminds me of the intended style.

Nice creamy body, despite not much help from the carbonation. Nectary thick with a spiciness that I like.

Poured into a 3 Monts tulip. Pours a medium golden amber with a fine, half finger white head with good retention and lots of lacing. Aroma of Belgian yeast and spicing, tropical fruit, hints of coconut and vanilla. Flavor of coconut, bready yeast, light fresh fruit, Belgian yeast. Finishes with oak, clove and light hop bitterness. Medium body with nice carbonation. An unusual and interesting take on the tripel style. The coconut is not overdone, but dominates enough to mask the details of the fruit flavors. Still a nice balance of fruit, malt and the coconut and tripel spicing. Refreshing on a warm night.
