Pours a bright golden yellow with a substantial light and fluffy head. Some lacing on the glass. Serious rising carbonation in the glass.
Smells sour, grainy. Definitely a lot of wheat in there. It has an interesting aroma. Very different from the american style ales that I'm accustomed to.
Stings like a pilsner. Faint sour taste in the middle. Lacks flavor and complexity. The grainy, earthy aroma is very strong. Finishes with a light hoppy bitterness, which lingers for a few seconds.
The beer has a light watery body with strong carbonation, which you will definitely notice.
Overall, I find that this is an interesting brew, but hopefully not the best that the Belgians have to offer. Its very easy to drink and after a few sips it becomes better, but overall I wish it offered more in terms of flavors and nose.
