The layout is nicer than the Greenwood location. Still gets entirely too busy, so go on off hours.

Visited here on a Saturday evening. We had three beers each and did some shopping. It was fairly busy, though not hard to get seats. Pretty good amount of seating both indoors and out. They allow children and dogs, and they allow outside food. They have some snacks for sale (including ice cream). We walked to the fairly nearby Rhein Haus for dinner after.
50 taps, mostly beer, some cider. Some of the beer is out of distribution (Une Annee, for example), some is hard to find (Wanderjack, for example). Tons of coolers with an incredible selection. Well organized. Prices are about what you would expect at such a place -- higher than Total Wine, but typically by $0.50-$1.00.
Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and excited about beer. Service was well organized ("Line starts here") and fairly fast.
I have been to the Greenwood location many times and I love it. This was my first visit to the Central District location, and I loved it, too. I look forward to visiting their new Seward Park location when I get the chance.

I enjoyed the taps here and the folks pouring were knowledgeable and great to chat with! They had a large bottle selection, carry collabs with local breweries and have always been helpful when I have questions or have bottle selection analysis paralysis.

I was not impressed with the appearance but my opinion improved with quickly with the wide selection of just beers and a staff that are very eager to help find exactly what you want. The staff are very enthusiastic each time I visit. This is one of the best beer hunting locations in the Pacific Northwest.

I visited the new Central District location of Chuck's Hop Shop last weekend and I really like this place. They've got 50 taps of beer and a few ciders plus another dozen or so of stuff like root beer, hard root beer, kombucha, cold-pressed coffee and various wines. Their beer selection is outstanding; for the most part, bottles and cans are kept in coolers although there are some large-format and specialty beers kept at room temp (which is basically cellar temp at this place).
The staff were friendly and knowledgable. This place seemed filled with locals and regulars, since there were only 2 cars in the parking lot but no free tables inside (there's seating for maybe 50). One thing to be aware of: Chuck's is kid-friendly, so expect tons of toddlers and babies on weekends.

Being from the east coast, this place was amazing to visit. The top-notch craft beer selection, the kid-freindly atmosphere (I went with some friends who have kids in the 6 months - 1 year range, and this is their regular meet up place. How cool), the ticket-based tasting system... all wonderful.
I will make sure to revisit this place on my next trip to Seattle and sip on some more sours.

One of the best beer shops in Seattle as they have a huge selection of beers and a lot that you will not see at other beer shops. For example, this is the only shop where I sold Prarie Bomb being sold in the Seattle area. They also have a lot of great local brews on tap. This is a top notch beer shop

This, for my money, is the premier bottle shop/beer bar in all of Seattle, based on the bottle and tap selection, the layout, the service, and the (fairly central) location. It's the one place you'd stop, if you could only stop at one place in the city.

Like 50 taps so there's always a great selection no matter your taste. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

All-around great shop and drinking establishment. Good vibe, kid friendly, friendly employees. Quality products. Good service, again, the employees were friendly and helpful. Selection is top notch.

Much better interior physical layout than the Greenwood location (albeit with less outdoor seating), a very comparable bottle selection, and about ten more taps; but the "intangibles" are not, to my senses, quite as good in this new location as of yet. Of course, it's all subjective; and if this is the closer/more convenient place for you to go in Seattle, I can understand why you'd never also feel the need to go to Greenwood.
