Named after Duane, the owner of Bottom's Up Homebrew Supply in Seaside, this West Coast style IPA is massively dry hopped with New Zealand Nelson Sauvin, and Mosaic wet hops, lending huge aromas and flavors of lychee, gooseberry, and mango, with an underlying earthy, diesel dankness! Party time, excellent!

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery beer glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Herbal dank diesel, white grape, tropical fruit, pine, citrus, grassy, slightly toasty crackery biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
T: Spicy resinous pine, floral, Nelson diesel and white grape, tropical fruit, gooseberry, mango, papaya, guava, peach, and a hint of lychee, a little citrus, lemon lime, grassy herbal notes, slightly toasty crackery biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness .
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, oily.
O: There's a little more bitterness and a slightly stronger malt backbone (probably thanks to the flaked rye) than Alvarado's usual West Coast IPAs which is a welcome change. As far as the hoppy side goes, it's pretty much exactly what you'd expect them to be able to pull out of a truck load of Nelson and Mosaic. Solid!

Canned 8/31/18, consumed 9/11/18
Poured hazy pale yellow/gold with a nice head that left lots of bands of lacing. Aroma is definitely the highlight feature - full, fruity notes of bright citrus, white wine, and lychee. Taste is right there, not as bright as the aroma but still a level up from the norm. Feel is medium, on the thinner side, ok carbonation and low bitternees.
Not a NEIPA even though it's hazy, this is just an all-around outstanding IPA. Nelson is standout but not the lone hop feature - this is just a terrific Nelson/Citra combo that blended together perfectly.

Maltier IPA than Alvarado's many excellent ventures into hopdom. Slight malt / caramel notes balanced out with smooth Nelson hops. More a Belgian than a true California hop monster but flawless as I've come to expect all Alvarado beers to be.

A bit of a hybrid IPA - hazy, but not really turbid. The feel was more west coast. Nelson hops definitely make their presence felt, but it's not a nelson-bomb like "Nelson" from Alpine or Mo' Nelson from Cellarmaker. Fruity and bitter at the same time, with a tinge of the white-wine/diesel character.
