Came in a nice enough looking tropical blue can. Appearance had potential, but the hazed body and floating yeast particles are a real turn off for me. Medium gold in hue, nice creamy white head that drops to a small layer on top of the beer and leaves some lacing in its wake. Subdued malt and corn on the nose, a bit of chemicals as well. Flavour is grainy and caustic from chemicals, I need to gargle with some Coors after this. The mouthfeel however is fuller than the flavour would imply, although the drinkability of this stuff wouldn't warrant coming back for seconds, let alone finishing the glass, in order to experience. No best before date on the can, I just hope I got a bum rap on my sample compared to Mark's, which was right in Fiji, compared to the eastern shadow of the Canadian Rockies where I found mine.

A - swampy orange yellow, not much head to speak of, note that several cans I had overflowed upon opening, something wrong there
S - leafy with a prominent butter toffee smell, light metallic
T - much like the nose with more bready grains
M - smooth but a little on the flat side, may be related to the overflow opening
O - a tasty enough option that is still light and easy drinking enough for the hot Fiji sunshine

The first thing this review does is breakes my string of never reviewing anything from a can. Oh well this is the only was this beer is presented. Color is a medium gold, head retention, and lacing varies from sample to sample. Nice aroma of malt, but malty taste is not quite balanced enough as hopping is very low on this one. Still nice and drinkable in Fiji's tropic climate. Not bad.

Not retired as I bought at Westin Hotel and Resort in Port Denaru, Fiji.
355 ML Can
Make this short and sweet. Had several good cans while in Fiji. Not A beers but C- area on this beer. Very similar to the Flagship beer of CUB Pacific in Fiji, Fiji Bitter. Just a little sweeter and not as cidery as FB is.
My Export bitter was just bad, awful bad. Vinegar and plastic smell and it went from there. Undrinkable. Sour vinegar, burnt plastic and scorched vegetables. Returned to bar and got a Fiji Bitter.
Was good in a Hammock on South Sea Island and that is OK with me.

Bitter?!?!?! Don't know where they get that other than a pure marketing gimmick as there's only a smidgen of bitterness that's dominated by wet carboard, spoiled fruit and old bread dough sweetness. Poured at a good temperature and with a foamy, frothy, off-white head that soon settles and some lace. Color is an 18 k gold with a couple of bubble trails. Aroma was sweet and had the above qualities a bit muted. Body is a little thick and the little bitterness there is clashes in some odd ways with the carbonic tang and cloying sweetness. Finish is not short enough. I need the medicinal effects so I will soldier on thru this, tough guy that I am.
