A-This place is very small with just a few coolers of beer mixed among the cigars, snacks, and random tourist tchotchkes that you would expect to find in a resort town like Lake Placid. The feel is nice and inviting and although the focus is less on beer than on stogies, the atmosphere is alright.

Q-All of the beers were chilled, which is nice. The quality of beers is decent given the small size. The place is craft-focused compared to nearby competition. I didn't find any Cantillon, but I did find some good stuff from Maine Beer Co., Ballast Point (coast-to-coast, baby), and a few other high-class breweries.

Ser-The gentleman working today was friendly and knowledgeable. In such a small space, it made a difference to me that he was willing to let me look over the goods without crawling up my rear and giving me the weird eye. That being said, he offered to assist and mostly knew about the beers he was selling.

Sel-This is a small store and the selection is small too. The beers on offer include a good geographic spread of America and a sprinkle of imports. There are two dozen varieties in six-pack form and a few dozen types of bombers/larger format bottles. Compared to nearby stores, Stouts and Stogies has a bigger emphasis on craft but there is no denying that three coolers is not going to win any prizes for quantity of beer.

V-Beer in a resort ain't cheep and this place was no exception. It is cheaper than highbrow places in NYC, but more than one might expect.

O-A decent place to stop if you're in the Lake Placid area and need to pick up a bomber or two.
