September 23rd, 2015 - Enjoyed outdoors on a beautiful San Diego day, this is a very hoppy smelling brew, and the nose is accented with a bit of lemon and lime, and a touch of the fresh smell of cooked white rice. The flavor is even more interesting, with a dry lemon note and a huskiness. The second and third sip unveil more of an herbaceous character, focusing on peppercorns, and in the aftertaste there is a sweet finish of guava.

On tap at Blue Palms Brewhouse in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a hazy honey orange with a foamy bone colored head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. A foamy latticework of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, citrus zest, and slight tropical fruit aromas. Taste is much the same with a citrus zest flavor on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with some nice fruity aromas and flavors.

Had this beer on tap at OB Noodle house, San Diego CA.
Appearance - Nice blonde to light amber hue. Reminded me more of the SRM on Pliney (golden and light).
Smell - Lots of grassy notes. Not as resiny and pine-like as most west coast IPA tend to be. A more appropriate balance of citrus, grass, pine, resin.
Taste - Taste follows suit. Well balanced hop flavors. Showcasing a strong west-coast hop profile, yet balanced and refreshing.
Mouthfeel - Best part about this beer - the combination of bitterness and dryness. The beer finishes with just the right amount of lingering bitterness, only to be cleansed by the (what I assume to be) high attenuation.
Overall - A solid IPA.
