Tap at the brewery
Very little head, hazy amber reddish orange color
Nose a little fruity and solventy, like Brett with too much oxygen, very light, little tart sourness, amber malt
Taste thankfully better, toasted amber malt, little sweet, biscuity, dry bready yeast, little spicy yeast and farmhouse notes, yeast gets quite spicy with a little herbal spicy hop, dry bready finish little sticky flemmy
Mouth is med bod, light but decent carb
Overall eh, not quite what I would call typical saison/farmhouse, more Americanized saison, with some flaws

From the 650 ml. bottle that probably bottled in December 2014. Sampled February 18, 2015.
Medium amber-bronze color with little to no head
The aroma caught me a bit by surprise. I picked up the usual Belgian yeast and toasted malt characters but there was fascinating spiciness that I liked that reminded me of All Spice. Also a tad musty.
Medium body.
It has Belgian yeast and toasted biscuit characters in the taste with a pineapple like tart bitterness at the finish. Mildly dry.

my go to after work ale. i wish that i could get this in a larger serving size at the door. This was the first ale i had poured by them and it never stops to amaze my taste buds. I give you a thumbs up on this beer. the only thing i wished it would show case more in the flavor would be the yeast characteristic of a farmhouse/saison.
