330ml can poured into a little hotel tumbler

Pours clear (I expect witbiers to be cloudy, but maybe I'm wrong). It's pale yellow. Small head, but very fizzy. Smell is Belgian yeast and fruit. Banana and clove.

Taste is more round wheat, yeast, and banana and clove. This is actually surprisingly tasty.

Mouthfeel is lightish but slightly sticky. Overall, this is actually a pretty good beer.

An excelent example of a Japanese made Belgian witbier
Pours a slightly cloudy goldwn yellow with a medium head that retains well.
Smells floral with hints of clove and citrus. Smooth and full bodied going down.
The taste is sweet and wheaty with citrus notes and a yeast flavour that follows.
Another great beer from this excellent Japanese craft brewery.

350mL heavyweight aluminum can served in parallel sided glass. As previously reported, the can reports 5% alc./vol for this "Wednesday Cat". Beer pours pale golden yellow in color, just slightly hazey, with a medium white head. Aroma is fresh and lagery -- nice, but not all that much like a Witbier -- with just a very subtle hint of spice, perhaps lemon peel, perhaps clove. Flavor is much more up front with a lemonade like sweetness. It doesn't seem to be all that strongly carbonated, and the result is kind of thick and cloying on the tongue. I'm not a fan. It tastes more of adjunct than wheat.

Browsing the top BA beers for witbier shows there are a number of really great, widely available examples. Including Japan's own Hitachino Nest. I'd stay away from this one.

Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a slightly hazy light golden amber with a half finger white head that dissipates quickly to a thin film and ring around the glass with light temporary lacing. Aroma of wheat, banana, light bready malt, Belgian yeast and clove. Flavor follows with well integrated buttery, bready malt, wheat, banana and clove, finisihing slightly sweet with clove and Belgian yeast. Light bodied. Flavor is somewhat subdued, but pleasant and spot-on for a witbier. Nicely done. My can has a listed ABV of 5%, so this may have changed since the original entry. This beer is not on the brewery website, so I was unable to confirm the permanence of the change.

Can pour at the 2014 Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest held at the Paso Robles Event Center in Paso Robles, CA.

Pours a hazy yellow-orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, yeast, and spice aromas. Taste is much the same with grain, yeast, and spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid aromas and flavors for the style.

The can was irresistibly adorable. I'm not sure I've ever said that about a beer before.

Poured it out into a pint. Hazy straw color. In fact, one of the most "straw colored" beers I've seen. Small foamy, soapy white head. The head sticks around for a bit.

Nose is great. Bready, yeasty goodness. Citrus rind and white peppercorn. Very true to style with some extra dough.

Taste is decent. Citrus and malt, a bit of cereal (corn?) and some hops on the end. Not bad, but nothing super-special.

Good mouthfeel. Full.

Overall it's worth a try.
