The Yardhouse (a chain) has about 140 beers on tap. They have a very good selection of micros & euros; however, they are a bit limited in their selection of 'bigger' beers (e.g. Stouts, Imperial IPA's, Strong Ales). One of the advantages that the Yardhouse has going for it is that a beergeek with a family can bring everyone there. The food's good & the menu is varied & it's perfectly fine to have kids there.

Bartender and beer selection are always the best. Firestone Walker is the house beer out of Paso Robles, CA. As an IPA Guy, I'm always impressed...selection is incredible and I love the appetizers. Get the Ahi poke bowl and guacamole dip. The menu is expansive and the standards are adhered to no matter which Yardhouse you go to. Lots of TVs and a very good vibe overall. The only drawbacks are the smaller size of this restaurant and parking. And, the WIFI sucks but who cares with this many beers!

Have been here three different times now, usually after a day of surfing, located on the second level of a shopping center right at the end of the 55 freeway, where the old Niketown used to be, had an Anchor steam pint for $3.25 during their happy hour, which is from 3 pm to 7pm I believe, had a lot of decent offerings here, but could not drinka anyhting too high in alcohol because I have to drive home, also had an Anderson Valley Brother David's Dubbel, various Belgians including some Lindmenas, Piraat, Gulden Draak, some ciders which my girlfriend jumped right into, Barney Flats oatmeal stout, there is too many to list, cool place inside with some neat articles about this very location right outside of the bathroom, spacious and clean, lots of businessmen in here drinking some beers, one guy jokingly gave me crap about the shirt I was wearing and I had to explain to him that it is a funny quote from a band, I think prices are only about a dollar more outside of happy hour, they serve anything above seven percent and some others in goblets instead of pints, they even put Arrogant Bastard in a pint which is odd, they have half yard glasses available, also things called a six pack where there is six specific beers picked for tasters that day, cool place in a great area, will most likely venture here again in the future if I have time in between my visits to Hi-Times, Newport Beach Brewing Company, and the Beverages and More location across the street from here, one of the best Yardhouse locations I have been to
