Visited with Da Boss on 9-3-19 after a day out and about in Central Maine.

Vibe was dingy and damp, kind of dive barish but not in the Toronado way.

Quality of the beers is hit and miss. I enjoyed the stout but the ESB was disappointing. Da Boss had the Pils which seemed adequate.

Service was solid on a slow Tuesday afternoon. Very prompt and perhaps overly attentive.

Selection was limited to maybe 12 taps including Bud Light???

Food was good. We went for just the appetizers, having the nachos and the fried mushrooms.

Overall a decent place in a tourist area where the beer was adequate and the food better. Not a place to go out of your way for.

Divey local bar that has not great service or decor, but the pale style beers are surprisingly good. Had the pale ale and it was fine - while the Storm Surge IPA and Ruckus DIPA were legitimately good west coast style IPAs. Nitro stout was slightly above average

Stopped here while driving up the coast. The vibe... well, it seems like its beer here for a long time. Kind of small and just a bit dingy inside (at least in the bar area where we sat). The selection was decent, maybe 8 beers on tap. The beer quality was hit and miss, anywhere from a little bad to OK+ but nothing was quite what I'd call good. The service was pretty poor, even though we were sitting at the bar. Took forever to get served and to get our check, and the two bartenders were not busy. Didn't try the food, but I did not get the feeling I wanted to eat there. Overall, we left quickly and unimpressed; I wouldn't bother unless you are very thirsty and willing to settle.

One of the better bars in Rockland, especially during the day time when other restaurants have yet to open. This place has a nice bar area that is separate from their dining area, which I like. A good place to watch a game as they have numerous tv's positioned through out the bar area. The seem to have settled on a lineup of beers that focuses mainly on IPAs that vary in maltiness and hoppiness. They are quite tasty, but are surrounded with outside taps that range from boring to bad. Stick with the beers they brew in house and you can't go wrong. Food is pretty good, service is so-so.

My wife and I had an enjoyable early dinner at Rock Harbor, in downtown Rockland, Maine.

The place wasn't very busy and it seemed a little sparse. It did have a big horseshoe-shaped bar that had more activity than the sitting area.

Our service was great. Again, it wasn't busy, so this may have been unusual. But, our waitress was very attentive and caring. She even gave me a free sample of their Imperial Stout.

The selection was mostly their brew-pubs offerings. I think of the eight, or so, offerings two or three were IPAs. I had a sample of the Imperial Stout that was good and settled on the Dry Stout to drink with my meal. Both were good.

The food was better-than-average pub food. My BBQ Chicken sandwich came with homemade potato chips. My wife thought her sandwich was okay, but really enjoyed the homemade, beer-battered onion rings.

I'll try and visit again when I'm in the area.
