L: Pours a straw color with decent clarity (just a touch of haze). A slightly vigorous pour gives three fingers of pillowy, white head with excellent retention. As the beer goes down it leaves wonderful webbed and ringed lacing.
S: Pale malt, maybe a bit of cara malt, floral notes, a light note of earthy spice, tropical fruit, stone fruit, and light notes of citrus.
T: I get tropical fruit, citrus rind character, light notes of peach, floral notes, very light earthy spice on the backend and finish, with a pale malt backbone complemented by just a hint of cara malt.
F: This is light to medium-light body with a medium-low carbonation that gently tickles the top of the palate. The mouthfeel is soft and a bit slick from the mid palate on down. A very light dryness on the finish.
O: So I am going against my typical "rate to style" dictum on this one because BA doesn't have an American Pilsner style category. This isn't your father's pilsner. Definitely an American take on the style and should really not be categorized as a German Pilsner. This is an American Pils for sure. That being said everything about this works perfectly with a nice balance between the hops and malt bill. I have been enjoying this one since they first released it and couldn't believe that I hadn't even rated it let alone reviewed it. Highly recommended!

Canned 6.28.18, opened 8.10.19 -given to me by my dentist
“I’m on pils for that”
Poured into an antique Pilsner urquell glass, fluffy white two finger head, settles to a ring, scant lacings
Aroma is grassy, malts,
Taste is malt, bit of earthy hop
Low sudsing, dry finish, hop nibble,
Good beer

Growler into a Gandhi-Bot tulip. Thanks, Matt!
A: Crystal clear, bright gold body under an inch of fine white head. Great retention, spidery lace. Lovely.
S: Pure, crisp bready Pilsner malt alongside clean herbal hoppiness. A hint of pine and walnut. Simple, balanced, and enjoyable.
T: Leafy hoppiness up front, followed by some robust (but never sweet) toasty malt. The malt/hop balance carries through to a dry, crisp, piquant herbaceousness on the finish. Long, clean, moderately bitter aftertaste. Simple, delightful, supremely refreshing lager.
M: Light body with soft, lively carbonation. Effervescent without being unsubstantial, solid without being heavy. Terrific.
O: As soon as I heard about the existence of this beer, I knew I had to try it. I've long been an Elm City devotee, and the promise of an even hoppier version of that already deliciously hoppy Pils was almost too much to handle. This growler wasn't as fresh as would have been ideal, so I can only imagine how amazing this was fresh from the tank, but even after some time and a trip to Kentucky it's one of the best Pilsners I've ever had. It's not as hoppy as Prima or Pivo, but the malt character couldn't be more delectable and the balance with the herbal/earthy/piney hops couldn't be better. It's a (well-deserved!) pity NEBCO is drowning in demand for their ales, as their lagers are every bit as amazing. Well done as always, gentlemen!
Cheers!

Light mouthfeel, light carbonation, clean drinking classic pilsner. Consistent hue, golden summer sun. Only lacks the creamy white head which would put this brew over a 4-rating.

Pours a hazy gold with a loose white head that dissipates towards the shoulders. Nose is light, grassy and clean - everything a pils should be. Taste follows nose with an earthy hoppy bite at the finish that lingers between quaffs. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body (but closer to light) with a mild, even carbonation and a slightly oily texture. Overall, a solid hoppy pils. A very nice twist on a classic style.
