Poured from a can with no identifiable marks to indicate age into a pint glass.
A: Pours a moderately hazy golden orange with 1 finger of straw-colored head that dissipates to a thin film. Pouring the yeast leads to a very hazy beer to the point of it ending up opaque.
S: Fresh and malty, slight citrus hop aromas add a hint of grapefruit and pineapple alongside a mild dankness and sweet malt character.
T/M: Slightly juicy and surprisingly bitter, the flavor of this beer starts off rather mild alongside a fairly thin mouthfeel, and then a bitterness from the hops kicks in right as the malt sweetness and citrus flavors become evident. The bitterness swells through the finish alongside juicy grapefruit and pineapple flavors, leaving a finish that is slightly prickly and strongly bitter. Mouthfeel is thin-to-medium with carbonation that is moderate and just about perfect.
O: This is an adequate but unexceptional IPA. It's surprisingly bitter for what it is, but there is abundant hop character with plenty of aroma and flavor contributions. I'd drink this again, and might even purchase it, but there are so many beers I'd buy before this one. I'm glad I've tried it, but don't feel like I'm missing anything if I never have it again.
