Poured from a can into a tulip glass.
Nice slight orange color and a light white head. Carbonation is somewhat evident in the lacing but it looks a little more "sticky" than "fizzy".
Smell is pretty straightforward, notes of what I guess I would best call tropical fruits with the obvious hops. Nothing wrong here, but its not particularly powerful and I can't say i'm taking particular enjoyment in just smelling this like I do with some of my favorite IPA's.
Taste is pleasant.... tropical fruit and sweetness upfront with a nice subtle bitter finish. No sense of alcohol and the notes stay pretty consistant throughout.
Moutfeel is a little more syrupy than I would like. Still relatively drinkable, but I think if this beer felt a little more crisp it would raise it up a level. As a whole though it still finishes pretty smooth.
If I could give this one a 3.75 I would. This one is a notch above middle of the road as far as IPA's go. Not a hop bomb (usually my preference) but not overly malty for the style. Worth trying, but I'm not sure I'd make a point of buying it again, just because there are so many great examples of the style out there and easy to get.

A - Pours a hazy golden orange into a Sam Adams perfect pint glass. Creamy head recedes rather more quickly than I expected and forms a thin film up top. Spotty lacing. Lots of rapidly-streaming visible carbonation.
S - Absolute dynamite and clearly what turned out to be my favorite part of the beer. Great hop intensity. Floral/Tropical aromas with a bit of sweetness.
T - Follows the nose, although the sweetness is a bit more pronounced here. Something like candy. The hops are still dominant. A fairly firm bitterness comes in on the back end.
M - The one major weak spot for me. I love a good medium+ bodied IPA. It would be a stretch to call this light/medium. It is very thin and even a little slick. Finishes clean and slightly dry.
O - Nice beer, if difficult to rank across the various categories. If I had regular access to this I would buy it, but not terribly frequently.
