Live tasting, can into Duvel tulip, a very generous extra thanks to fubofnic.. Thanks Ryan!!
Appearance; pours a hazy golden orange color, with a finger of lush straw colored head. Retention is minimal, and the head quickly falls to a thin film. Lacing is minimal.
Smell; this one didn't jump out of the can, as I expected... I have opened a couple canned beers that literally jumped out of the can (stouts and porters included!) and I attributed that to the airtightness of the can for beer... Once the 'Bot was in my glass things changed, and most dominant aroma being orange rinds. Pineapple, mango and lemon rind take a backseat.
Taste; this thing is all orange!! The can, the smell, the taste.. Amazing, taste has a strong candied orange peel, and/or orange marmalade... Pineapple and mango notes creep in with a slight resinous pine bitterness on the finish.
Mouthfeel; lively mouthfeel with good carbonation, a slight prickly sensation on the tongue, I'd call Gandhi-Bot medium bodied, juicy in the mouth with a dry finish...
Overall; a rock sold DIPA, and certainly something I would seek out again... This is a nice DIPA, and refreshingly different from many of the IPA's available to me locally which place a far stronger emphasis on the tropics, and I felt like the candied orange peel dominant flavor really set this brew off... I really enjoyed this one, thanks again Ryan!!

Right off the bat this beer looks great with a nice hazy orange color with a murkiness that ive never seen in a ipa before. Aroma consist of sweet tropical fruits and bready malt. The taste is amazing. Pineapple, mango, slight grapefruit are the main flavors coming through. For a double ipa this is incredibly smooth with just the right amount of bitterness that even a non-hophead could get behind. A bready malt on the back end provides some balance and doesn't let the bitterness linger at all. Ready for sip a few seconds after the first. For me this is the best beer ive tried or at least top two or three. If your in the CT area this is a must try along with the other awesome nebco beers.

Appearance: Pours unfiltered straw yellow with a 1/2 finger of white head. This is so cloudy it almost looks like grapefruit juice.
Smell: Grapefruit, pine, subtle mango and malt.
Taste: Much like the nose. Piney hops up-front, grapefruit in the middle of the tongue and lingering bitterness and malt on the back end. Very drinkable and hides the abv well.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with lively carbonation that really tickles the tongue. Doesn't get much better.
Overall: Solid DIPA that leans more toward the grapefruit side of the IPA spectrum. Would drink again.

Sometimes you never know when a gift is tossed your way! We have been trying to bring in Gandhi-Bot for almost two years now without any luck.
We were able to get 1 case, so that was super.
I had the opportunity to taste it tonight. (Thank yo Spencer). The pour was a bit on the lighter side, I was expected more orange. But it poured cloudy, not like a wheat beer, but like a beer that had been shaken.
The nose and bouquet were perfect. The tar, the grapefruit, resin, citrus all were so present. With the fist sip, I the extreme hops came through loud and clear. But, what I noticed that it didnt have that dry bitterness from a high IBU beer, but instead had a touch of a sweet overtone at the end.
I am glad I had it, but I still know what my number one beer is.
