Simply the absolute best IPA for me. Perfect malt to hop balance. JUST dry enough of a finish to make me want another sip, with enough flavor to linger for a minute. "Love" in a can.
This is one of the beers that turned me on to ipa's in the first place.

A great DIPA! I've been making regular trips to the brewery to fill growlers of this.

A - Pours a hazy tangerine color with a medium off-white head.

S - Very floral for me, with citrus and pine in the background. A very nice aroma, but I always get a hint of a sort of sweaty-gym-sock / astringent cat-pee thing going on with this beer, which keeps my smell-rating from being higher

T - Outstanding! Very floral hops rounded out by citrus and pine. When so many other hoppy beers are prioritizing the real citrusy flavors, it's nice to taste this where it's more of a floral bouquet. A bit hop-forward, but still well balanced by malts.

M - Tight carbonation, medium bodied. The alcohol is well hidden for an 8.8% beer, even as the beer approaches room temp, there's not much lingering alcohol on the tongue...

O - A great beer, certainly a top echelon DIPA. I'd put this up there with some of the bigger names in east-coast IPA's from Vermont, etc.

Double IPA's are everywhere now and this has remained one of my favorites for years now for a reason. The appearance was a nice yellow, but the smell took me back when I gave it a sniff. Lots of grapefruit, mint, and orange peel came through. The taste was a great amount of bitterness paired with a semi-sweet finish that made for a nice refreshing taste but kept a nice aftertaste. Intense but not abrasive. Would definitely recommend for hop heads and IPA lovers.
