A: The body of the beer is a golden hazy yellow with a pure white three finger head.

S: There is a breads and tropical fruit aroma with the subtle smell of wheat.

T: There is a sharp malt flavor with strong banana esters, wheat and bubble gum. There is a spiciness from the Belgian yeast present as well.

M: Thick and silky body but the beer is very under carbonated.

O: Good not great beer. I would probably not choose it again.

Poured from a recently distributed NEBCO can in WNY...let the beer warm for 20-30 mins before writing this review

The beer pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a thin, sticky white head. The nose presents a bouquet of booze-infused honey, floral hops, and fruity yeast esters. It definitely establishes that it's a BSPA in the nose. The taste works in a complex melange of yeast fruits, honey sweetness, and grains followed by a slightly bitter, semi-dry white grape aftertaste. The mouthfeel is very approachable and drinkable for being a 9% beast and leaves a lot of traditional elements present (compared to a Duvel for instance). I'm excited for such a delicious canned beer available in WNY/CNY and recommend a brief warming period followed by some smooth jazz and reasonably paced sippage.

12 oz. Can, no freshness date.

A: Pours a lazy hazy light amber. Large white head that settles down
to a thin layer with pretty nice lacing.

S: Fresh!, crisp, light, yeast/wheat, sugar and hops. Flavorful aroma.

T/M: Spicy, light and crisp. Like the smell, fresh yeast and wheat. Good
hop presence leads to solid grain and malt flavors. Has a slight sour taste
in the background. Light bodied with a crisp finish and a linger of yeast.
As it warms the high alcohol % comes out and is warming.

O: A surprisingly great Belgian strong. Easy to drink with a nice taste and feel.
Another strong offering from New England Brewing Co. Worth a try, especially
if you like the Style.

Cheers!!

Poured from a can. No idea when it was canned.

Pour is a slightly hazy gold, 1/2 finger beige head, minimal lacing.

Smell is yeast, banana, fruity sweetness, slight bit of grain. Bready.

Taste is slightly overripe fruit, grain, banana bread, slight clove, Belgian yeast. I did not realize this was 9% when I was drinking it, but I find that hard to believe. There was really no hint of it.

Mouthfeel is slightly creamy, crisp, well carbonated.

Very smooth, very drinkable. Great session beer.
