Served in an Allagash glass. One finger of white foamy head. Good lacing and some head retention.

Smells like a Belgian, clove banana and a touch of
Sulphur which is a bit out of place.

Tastes like a nice Belgian wheat beer, sweet banana and clove. Bready and sweet notes mix with the lightly peppery notes.

Medium bodied, medium carbing.

Overall this is great new offering from NEB. Solid in every way.

$6 for a pint

Always a pleasure to try a new NebCo offering and these guys have been going in all sorts of directions lately.

Poured into a goblet. The appearance is a nice cloudy yellow with a fluffy white head that quickly dissipates. The smell is of some mild lemon and a bit of funky yeast. The taste starts off with some lemon zest followed by yeast and finishes with a very nice peppery afterglow! Nice mild carbonation.

Another hit from the NebCo guys!

Pours a hazy yellow color into the oversized Southampton snifter. Off white thin head with light retention and not much lacing.

Smell is very light. Citrusy smell as well as some funk.

Taste is awesome! Citrusy taste, lemon grass, wheat. Peppercorn really brings the taste to the next level in this beer with the slight spice and bitterness.

Mouthfeel is very light with good carbonation.

Great Saison! Well balanced taste and good mouthfeel to round it out.

Pours a cloudy straw colored yellow body with a foamy, white head that quickly dissolves to leave a scattered lacing.

Aromas of yeast, lemon zest, straw, and peppercorn float from the glass.

The flavor offers similar yeast notes with lemon zest coming through as it warms a bit. The piney hops really are a nice compliment as they offset the sweetness that sometimes overtakes other examples of the style. The peppercorns are a staple in the palate of this beer and really coat the palate without taking over and offer a good base for the rest of the beer.

This beer is medium in body with medium carbonation with a little bit of a fuller finish than other saisons and the peppercorn leaves a nice coating on the palate.

I found this to be almost a “heartier” version of the saison for lack of a better word, which I appreciated. The flavors and aromas offer the senses a lot of stimulus without any taking control.

Cask into a highball at Prime 16.

A: Cloudy pale orange body with only a slight wisp of off-white head that quickly recedes into a thin ring. A little sad.

S: Intense peppercorns, herbal and piney hops (super resinous), herbal spice, and some faint malt. Insane, and great.

T: Spicy peppercorns up front, with ruggedly organic herbal mess close behind - resin, spruce, clove, and more pepper. The finish embraces some smoothly bready malt alOng with the spice. Terrific.

M: Soft, smooth, lightly carbonated medium body. Pretty unremarkable.

O: Great saison. The spice is intense but not overbearing, the malt substantial but not too sweet, and the dank herbal character simply delightful. Awesome beer.

Cheers!
