Our third single-hop beer brewed with 100% citra hops. Big citrus aromas with a delicate dry malt presence, juicy resinous orangey hop flavor makes this beer a treat for lovers of hoppy beer.

obviously this has been a top beer here on BA for a really long time, so it was awesome to encounter it on my trip back east for the first time, and like a lot of the ipa types of lore on here, its really great, but also was probably even more striking a decade ago before everyone else caught up, pliny syndrome i call it, wicked liquid, but not as one of a kind as it may have seemed long ago, still, a treat to find and a joy to drink, i really dug this, and can definitely appreciate how its found its place at the top of the heap, well refined, simple in a good way, peppy and fresh as can be, versatile with food, a super bold expression of citra, and nicely bittered which is unexpected most of the time with this varietal, im into it! love the clarity, this is definitely cut from a different cloth than what has taken over in this part of the country recently, no haze to be found, a short airy white head from the tap and a flaxen shine, lovely. the nose is easily identifiable as citra driven, but its less one dimensional than it often is by itself, and not just because this is also bitter,i get big ripe peach and stone fruit notes, i get honey and toffee and sticky oils, i get pine and lemon and cooked orange, really layered for just citra, simple grain base too, fresh, earthy, pale, and near dry, nothing from the yeast at all, as it should be. the flavor is really juice forward, and it tastes like it smells although even more pungent, fruity, peachy, some dankness, oily and sticky and very much west coasty, old school but without the malt heft or sweetness, and resinous, bitter, and big, freshness booms through this, notes of orange and mango and hash, its sticky but its light still, lower abv than is common now, and really super drinkable. clean and minimal in a good way, the most citra you can put into a pint, which is awesome, no burn or anything either. it loves salty food, seafood, and fried stuff, and i could have ripped this all night. really great ipa, worthy of the hype, striking, even if not radical anymore, it really doesnt get much better than this!

3 weeks in can …. 12 ouncer

Pours out with an least medium haze, under a large, super sturdy and long lasting cap. Leaves large amounts of high quality lace and sheeting.

Semi muted tropical fruit sniff, with pineapple, mango and lime in the front of mind.

Pleasing balance here of sweet tropical fruits along with a bit or resiny hop goodness. Mighty fine and highly enjoyable creation….almost lives up to the hype and is well worth seeking out.

A very basic good IPA but really nothing special. A little too much carbonation and bitter ending for my taste. Much higher score on BA then what it deserves. Should have been in the 80’s definitely not a 98.

Pours hazy, orange gold in color with one inch head. Taste is orange Creamsicle and dank hops with soapy hops Bitter, medium low body, moderate carbonation. Above average but was still leaving me wanting something more. I am a bit spoiled. Decent beer that definitely needs more body.

Pours a moderately hazy kinda brassy gold color, dense head about an inch high that falls to an even cap. Slight cling.

The smell is pretty laid back. Grapefruit, and orange. A bit of a sweet floral note. A tropical fruit pops in that I think is mango. Very fresh. A little malt peeks through. Laid back maybe, but excellent for sure.

The taste is also subtle. Certainly orange and grapefruit forward. Extremely fresh. There is a base of biscuity malt. There's a floral component and some honeydew melon. It's almost like a fruity bubblegum. Slight sweetness, nicely bitter at the end. Mango tropical fruit shows up and it brings some resin with it. A touch of pineapple. A bit of grassiness.

The feel is medium bodied, nicely carbonated, extremely smooth with a bit of a tingle. Nice bitter carryover, somewhat dry.

Overall, this is a very well-crafted, extremely well-balanced beer. Full of flavor yet not overpowering. It seems to capture the essences of both East coast and West coast IPA. Not a juice bomb, but not a face-peeling bitter either. It's hitting a really sweet spot in between

Drank from a cask at Noah Webster Harvest Real Ale Harvest Fest. Taste was a really well balanced tropical fruit NEIPA. Can't remember enough to give notes, but what I do remember is the amazing, unique mouthfeel. Manages to be fuzzy and smooth at once, with a medium body and decent carbonation.

I got this as part of a flight while visiting Putnam, CT. Pours golden and clear. The smell was unremarkable, but some citrus. But the taste was awesome. Malty, citrus. Very good I PA. Laced very well.
