A- Pale amber body with good transparency. A slight haze, but not cloudy. Big frothy off-white head that leaves a lot of lacing.

S- A mixture of pine, citrus and tropical fruit notes. Just enough malt comes through so you know it's there. The tropical fruit aromas are big and juicy; pineapple, guava, passion fruit.

T- Bitter juicy hop flavors play off of a toasted malt backbone. Flavors are not huge and in your face, but are delicious.

M- Very smooth and drinkable, medium bodied, medium carbonation.

O- Very good IPA. Good flavors and great drinkability.

Looks hazy orange.
Great fresh, floral hop smell.
Clean hoppy taste; grapefruit, vidalia onions, sounds gross, however it is anything but.
The hops in this one are mosaic, which I'm not sure I've ever had, as I'm told they're hard to find, the hop slowly unfurls in taste as you drink.
Taste changes nicely as it warms.

Nebco does right by the Elm City .

Had back in 2013 at the Ordinary but then again in March 2015 fresh at the brewery itself. Really great sour and dank IPA here. Not too heavy on the body but very heavy on the hops. My favorite combo.

32oz. growler into a NEBCO 668 tulip.

Pours a frothy 1.5 finger white head with moderate to low retention. Beer is a cloudy orange-peach. Lacing is stringy and spotty with good stick. Solid.

Nose is grapefruit, passion fruit, citrus, and a tropical hop bitterness. Real juicy with a robust fruit presence. Aromatic. Very appetizing.

Opens sweet citrus, passion fruit, and tea leaves. More of the same in the middle with an emerging sap and resin hop bitterness. Juicy tropical fruit at the end. Finish is a dry, dank, hop bitterness. Some grapefruit pulp and zest in the aftertaste. Great flavor, nice character.

Light bodied with moderate to low carbonation. Smooth, warm and aggressive in the mouth and goes down smooth and dry. Messy finish with a sticky, lingering aftertaste. Real nice.

Continuing in the long line of under-the-radar, super-solid IPAs and DIPAs, Supernaut from NEBCO is no slouch. Great aroma and feel with a complexity of flavor and drinkability to match. Definitely worth seeking out.

Served on draft at Plan B in a pint glass.

A--As someone below put, just an inviting beer to drink. Gorgeous golden color, 1 finger frothy white head.

S--A very nice hop/fruit balance. Notes of orange, pineapple, tangerine fruits with hint of floral aromas to tantalize the senses.

T--Very citrus forward with a nice hop balance and bitterness at the finish. Very sessionable--a perfect summer IPA in my opinion, although I could drink it all the time.

O--A tremendous IPA. I enjoyed it very much. Kudos to Rob and Matt on a job well done.

Served on tap at Prime 16 in New Haven CT. Shaker pint glass.

The New England supernaut ipa was overall a different IPA than normal. Poured very dark copper. Some foam. Can't see thru. Pine sharp nose. Bitter open. Citrus too. The bite is sharp. Malt below but thin. Solid ipa. 4 4 375 35 375

Hard hop soft malt made for a good IPA experience

Super excited to try this. Poured into a tulip glass. This beer has a very nice head with some nice lacing, the colour is a murky orange. Smell is of some tropical fruit and maybe even a bit of lime. The taste is orange, pineapple, mango (lime in there as well). No real hoppy bitterness to this. Mosaic is certianly one sweet hop, absolutely no bitterness to the finish at all. Another NebCo hit!

On tap at Barley Vine in Bristol, CT.

Pours an orange-toned brew with a white head.

Aroma is all citrus, grapefruit, orange, tangerine, etc. Inviting.

Taste follows. Bitterness and floral at the same time. Just a great beer.

Can this one, PLEASE!

Ive had on tap at the brewery, on-tap at the Lumberyard in Georgetown, CT, and from Grolwer purchased at the Brewery...this review is from the growler...one week old.
Pours a hazy orange with a slight reddish color; nice thick white foam...looks so good. The aroma is where this is superb! Huuuge grapefruit citrus aroma, some bready malts...it just smells so damn good.
Taste is chewy dank citrus and pine hop flavor...just fruit juice with a tad of pine...its so good. Nicely bitter and so easy to drink. What a pleasure to drink this brew...yes, you should seek this out. Quite possibly one of the best "session" IPA's out there.

Thanks to CTJman for getting this growler down south in superb condition.

A - Nice hazy, golden color. Definitely unfiltered, but pretty uniform.

S - Lots of tropical citrus. Very strong aroma. World-class.

T - Juicy citrus hops on the front end with a nice resiny, slightly bitter finish. Very little malt presence. Just hoppy goodness. Definitely some nice tropical fruit flavors in there.

M - Light and very drinkable. I could drink a lot of this on a warm spring day.

O - Great mosaic IPA from NEBCO. Very similar in structure to fuzzy baby ducks, especially in the finish and mouthfeel. These guys do fantastic work with their hoppy beers. Really good. Ruefully killing the growler as I type this.

64oz growler straight from NebCo. Pours a hazy burnt orange color with less than a half inch of head. Some lacing. Aroma is uber fruity. Pineapple, orange, mango, grape and some floral hop notes as well. The taste is some more of the tropical fruits along with some floral hops. Some breadiness but this one is hop forward. Floral hop bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied with a mouthfeel on the lighter side. Very drinkable IPA that doesn't skimp on the hop flavor. Reminds me a lot of Founders All Day IPA. Overall, perfect warm weather all day drinker.

First had: on tap at NEBCO

A newer brew from these guys, I suppose, so I'm glad I could snag one while in town. My visit to NEBCO was short, but sweet. Generous samples (free?) of some very tasty brews, and a good chat with the employee. Too bad we can't give barfly reviews to breweries, because they deserve them.

Anyway. This was a solid AIPA, slightly hazed copper pour, with a small, sturdy, white head. Nice hop bill on the nose, grassy, citrusy, tropical. The taste was similarly hop-driven, notes of citrus zest, tropical fruit, wet grass, fairly bitter and dry, hints of ammonia (not out of the ordinary), with a solid but subdued crackery malt base. Medium body, moderate carbonation, quite good overall.

Growler pouted into snifter. Pours a beautiful yellow gold. The nose you get from the Mosaic hops is just stupid. Tastes amazing, very sessionable, light and fruity with a real crisp hop bitterness. Kill me now. This is a nuclear weapon for the Beast Coast beer game.

Pour from a 64 oz growler (filled today) into a 668 tulip glass.

A - Pours a color that I have come to expect from NEBCO, just a beautiful hazy unfiltered golden amber color. One fingers worth of white foam forms and disappears quickly. Moderate lacing and retention after a swirl but it seems to sit rather still.

S - Huge wave of tropical mango, grapefruit, clementine and some pineapple with an earthy and dank undertone. Not quite on the level of the Simcoe cat urine thing, but just a bit pungent. This smells fantastic!

T - It starts off with tropical fruits of mango, pineapple, oranges and grapefruit but its immediately met with with a wall of crackery malts. More of that danky earthy pungency with a bit of grass. Very balanced with the hops making their presence known at every second. Finishes dry with a juicy flavor and a light bitterness. Mouth feel is rich and oily with perfect carbonation.

O - Another incredible one-off IPA from the boys at NEBCO. This is a really impressive beer that showcases the mosaic hop so well. I actually enjoy this quite a bit more than Fuzzy Baby Ducks (I'm not a citra fanatic) and in terms of other Mosaic hopped beers this falls just short of HF Society & Solitude #6. Very impressive and damn tasty and far too drinkable.

From the tap:
A: brownish gold cloudy appearance. 1 finger of head. Decent lacing.
S: grapefruit citrus blast strong hop presence
T: higher citrus profile consistent with the nebco ipa style
M: fully flavored with a bitter dry aftertaste
O: please can it. Another great ipa!!!!

Like I need to write a review for people to go out and get this.

A: Orange-yellow; hazy. Finger of ivory head; uniformly stacked bubbles and cake-like top.

S: Excellent complexity and perfectly nuanced. Fresh sliced mango; fresh cut pine. Tart blueberry.

M: Medium body and firm carbonation. Semi-silky feel and crisp finish.

T: Mosaic hops are so clean tasting to begin with; it's a no brainer to make a Mosaic only IPA. They hit it out of the ballpark. Moderate orange citrus bitterness; sweeter and juicier tropical rush. An earthy grassiness. Berries and cherries. You get a different flavor profile with every sip; sometimes citrusy, sometimes juicy--always dank. And the best part is you can drink a bunch since it's only 5.8.

Poured into a pint glass at Pies & Pints in Middlebury, Connecticut this IPA has a very clear, pale golden appearance with a big white, snowy froth on top and a carpet of lace as you empty the glass. The aroma is somewhat delicate but brings a really nice citrus-pine, very solid and alluring. The flavor is an awesome blend of rye malt and citrus-pine. There's a little bit of light lemon sweetness blended terrifically with the hop bitterness while presenting a bit of grainy malt backbone. The body is medium to light with a fairly mild feel and modest carbonation. Highly drinkable. Great!

A-Pours a cloudy coppery hue. Nice, fluffed head. Head maintains its height and leaves loads of lacing.

S-Here we go again. Hop-soup from NEBCO yet again. The aroma explodes with baskets of tropical fruit. The malt provides some sort of backing to all those exotic fruity notes. Also tons of hemp.

T-The flavor starts off with the freshly-squeezed, juicy hop derived fruitiness. Pineapple and apricot and peach. Then a violent slice of piney, grassy and weedy bitterness sets in. The malt softens out the bitterness in some regards. The fruity hoppiness stays true throughout and leaves a long finishing note of grapefruit flesh.

M-High bitterness. Very drinkable and very dry. Perfect carbonation. So much flavor for a sub-6% brew.

O/D-Again, these guys brandish their expertise (especially with hoppy brews). This one reminded me of a mix of Fuzzy Baby Ducks and Gandhi Bot in both flavor and quality. An excellent,top-tier brew.

Poured from a 64 oz. growler into my Hill Farmstead stemware.

A: Pours a hazy orange with a 1 1/2 inch off-white head. Clings nicely to the glass as I make my way through this brew.

S: Strong Orange aromas, tangerine and clean tropical fruits, absolutely beautiful nose on this IPA.

T: More tropical fruits especially in the front end, Hop bitterness in the finish, but then there is a sticky sweet coating in the end, really enjoyable. Feels a bit bigger then the 5.8%

M: light bodied but fills the mouth nicely nicely and goes down easy.

O: Just a great IPA from NEBCO, probably my favorite IPA that they make.

Appearance is a dark orange color with a one finger head. Aroma isn't too strong consisting of sweet fruitiness and citrus hops. The first taste showcases the hop presence of this beer with pungent grapefruit followed by bready malts on the back end. The taste is great but what really elevates this beer is the smoothness. Considering the strong presence of grapefruit there is very little astringency or bitterness, which allows the bursting hop flavor to be the focus. Overall, this is a great ipa and will fulfill your grapefruit ipa needs and then some. (95/100)

A: slight haze; copper colored; 1 finger pillowy white head that receded slowly; thick lacing;

S: abundant pineapple, grapefruit, and green apple aroma;

T: pineapple with grapefruit rind which gives it a lot of bitterness; the pineapple fades at mid-palate; the finish is bitter grapefruit rind;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; dry finish

O:intense aroma and bitterness; this is a hop bomb;

Had on tap at the prime 16 tap takeover

Pours a golden color with a minimal head but good lacing and head retention.

Smell is great! Mosaic hops have a very complex smell. Very oily and fruity, similar to simcoe hops with citrus flavors.

Taste is very similar to the smell. Bitterness is mild but the flavors are very fruity. Resin notes as well.

Mouthfeel is perfect, smooth yet light.

Nebco does it again.. Love it!
