The next step in the evolution of Stout Trooper. New England's finest offering yet. Everything about this excels from beginning to end. A Stout hunters must have. Even the folks with different palates have been shocked by it's coffee goodness when shared... (257 characters)

Always a treat to have a new NebCo beer. Poured into a snifter. Color is jet black with a nice tan head. The nose is slight coffee with also a bit of cocoa (bitter). Love the taste of this one, charred coffee, the aforementioned bitter chocolate and I do believe I am getting a bit of vanilla. I think that sweetness balances this nicely. Mouthfeel is very smooth, carbonation is mild.

One of the better sessionable stouts that I have had. Well done! (451 characters)

On tap at the Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.

A really solid amount of flavor packed into a basically sessionable beer (I guess 5.2% is a bit over the session line, but my point still stands.)

Pours a deep dark black, with only slight tinges of brown when held up to the light. One inch mocha-colored head, with very little lacing down the glass.

Tastes very nice. Fairly roasty, with tons of coffee flavor. The coffee flavor is nutty, and fairly bittersweet. The roasty bitterness mixes with the coffee bitterness for some complex bitterness, whatever that means. There's a bit of vanilla, and a small amount of chocolate.

Medium bodied, insanely drinkable. Low carbonation, creamy smooth mouthfeel.

A pretty great coffee oatmeal stout. It's nothing insane, just tasty and dependable. (791 characters)
