This is close to the interstate and my car navigation had trouble finding it. The brewery is actually on the backside of the block, on another street. Ample patio space in front of this strip mall type of space. The ambiance is full of dark wooden tables and dark polished concrete. A good change of pace for beer styles around these parts, some lesser known German types. Their Schnitzengiggles festbier was the favorite of the 2 sampled.

This is a great spot to grab some beers, especially when the Tunnel on the Merit backs up, you can check traffic from the comforts of one of their outdoor seats (weather permitting). They have a large enough rotation that there's always something new with an excellent breadth of styles usually. Their stouts have always been top notch, their IPAs are very good, and if they're doing something like a Marzen or a Helles or Pilsner, they usually crush it. Their Fuzzy Baby Ducks series (single, double, triple) are some of the better CT New England IPA styles and sometimes there's a line for cans.

The vibe of this place is pretty great, they always have a food truck outside that is usually really good. They good spots for seating and they keep sections of the bar clear for people to order. They have a pretty good selection of cans to go usually and their growler fills are some of the best in the state. They usually fill almost anything they have on tap and (at least pre-covid) would fill any approved growler - their own or not. Great laid back atmosphere, worth a trip for sure.

This a must-visit stop if you are in the NH, CT area.

Industrial, gas station, unpretentious kinda feel to the place, some outdoor seating as you enter...food truck ready to take your order.

High quality and quite enjoyable beers to enjoy here or to go...cans cans cans...all the rage these days and they have got em here...I'd be a regular if I was local...plan to get here frequently while one of my offspring and his family are living in NH for the next year or so...well worth a visit

A very busy taproom, had a hard time getting the bartenders attention to even order. I know there are laws regulating this but buying tiny 10 ounce beers at full pint prices sucks. Id rather just take the cans home and not feel as ripped off. But... the beer is excellent and the price point for cans is fair.

Finally able to make it here after so many years of not wanting to drive down to New Haven from central Mass. Happened to be driving from Pensacola, FL to the NY/CT border in December of 2017 and was able to make a quick stop here. Had a pint and filled several growlers of their delicious hoppy beers. One of the bartenders was extremely kind and scored me a few cans of a few releases they recently had that I just missed. Beers from them I’ve wanted to try for over ten years...seriously. Great brewery atmosphere and good folk. I consider them one of the OGs of the craft beer scene, as they’ve been making stellar beer way before it was cool and trendy and played out.

Just the perfect happy medium between NE Style and West Coast style beer. More breweries need to have balance like this. Amazing selection always. The BEST employees and service. Love 12 ounce cans and they never sold out and started making the overly wheat and oat flaked NE double IPA's like the rest of the saturated beer market.

Beers are always top quality; usually an interesting, if limited variety of styles;

Service is a little standoffish, but the staff knows their stuff.

This is my favorite brewery anywhere. They have an extensive but manageable selection on tap at all times, and they brew absolutely fabulous beers without exception. G-Bot, Coriolis, Locust Reign, Fuzzy Baby Ducks, Spin Cycle, Galaxy, Stout Trooper, Dose...These are basically all world-class, mind-blowing beers. Even Sea Hag – by far their most widely distributed and accessible beer – is one of the best in class. Strictly in terms of quality, NEBCO is at least as good, if not better, than any other brewery I'm aware of, including Alchemist, Lawson's, Trillium, etc. Go here.

Was driving by New Haven, CT and decided to stop in. Very conveniently located close by Exit 59 on the Merritt Parkway (CT-15). Located in a fairly unassuming building, part of the production area is visible through windows as one enters the service area (always a nice touch). The vibe is very welcoming and low key. With about 6 to 8 beers on tap, there is more than a reasonable range of high quality offerings. Growlers are available, but cans are more iffy as they are only made available on certain days (and these evidently go quickly). There are several bar height tables for seating perhaps one to two dozen, although the space can easily hold at least twice that number. There was also a food truck just outside the day I stopped by. The service was helpful and efficient. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the New Haven area (or simply like good beer).

Lots of room to sit, big bar, easy to understand what is going on.

In an industrial park setting but nice on the inside. BBQ trailer was parked outside and had great food options for good prices.

Had cans, and growler/howlers available. Draft options in multiple sizes as well as one option on nitro tap. Tons of interesting swag.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Didn't leave you standing around at the bar and collected empty glasses from tables quickly. Nice spot and worth a trip.

You meet the nicest people standing in line for their can releases.
I've gotten growler fills, and had a couple beers a half dozen or so times in 2017. The interior design has evolved for the better over the past few years. My "vibe" rating is based on the other customers rather than the visuals. Unfortunately, it is attached to a building in the back of a car dealership (unlike other breweries on the water, or in 100 year old buildings).

By far the best well known brewery in CT. The tap list is on point and they have by far some of the best IPAs you can look for. If you can get in line for Wednesdays make sure you do so because cans go quick but definitely worth it. NEBCO is a staple for CT breweries and can compete with any nationally ranked brewery!
