This is a new craft beer bar / restaurant that just opened in Crest Hill. I visited on their third day open...

Located just off Weber Road in a large strip building, this is very easy to get to and there is tons of parking in the lot out front.

The atmosphere is sort of upscale sportsbar I guess. Very clean and modern feel. Lots of windows let in natural light during the day. The bar is all the way to the right, and is a long straight bar with stools. The rest of the place is filled with lower tables and chairs, plus a dart board and another game of some sort that I can't remember.

Though the name of this joint is 12 Handles, they feature 24 taps. Out of those 24, about 18-20 of them were craft beer when I visited. Of the craft on tap, nothing was earth shattering or rare, but all of them were high quality US craft beers from breweries such as Allagash, Revolution, Goose Island, Bell's, DFH, Solemn Oath, New Holland, New Belgium, Deshutes, etc, etc. They also had a very extensive bottle/cans list, though again, nothing rare.

Service was super friendly and pretty fast. There was a small mixup in that my wife ordered a Revolution Rosa and what arrived was clearly not that beer (it was an IPA). They apologized and took it away and brought a replacement. That was the same beer they poured the first time. I explained nicely that we were very familiar with beer styles and that I thought they might have the wrong keg hooked up to the Rosa tap. She agreed that might be possible, took that beer away and brought my wife something else. They were super nice thoughout the whole thing and I felt that they really cared about getting it right.

The food was really tremendous. The wings are large and delicious. I will be back again and again to have those! The burgers are also really wonderful.

All in all, I have high hopes for this place, and look forward to more visits.
