A one-to-two inch, dense, creamy froth rises with some of that cascading effect over a black beer with dark brown to mahogany highlights when put to the light. The head converts to slightly rocky and never complete settles, leaving little, if any, lacing.
This Guinness pint glass hosts that familiar roasted malts with molasses and Baker's chocolate.
The flavors loosely follow the nose, with a good kick of bitterness that passes quickly. Some iced coffee and a pronounced, but short, finish of bitterness. That same bitterness returns as one licks one's lips, hinting at a light acidity.
Beamish is light bodied with gentle carbonation and does seem to fit the style. The silky smooth texture coats one's palate, and the alcohol is more present than a 4.1% would normally suggest.
This is an easily quaffable beer and a fine companion for long sessions or billiards.

Ireland's finest stout, much nicer than Guinness. I could drink a dozen of these and still want more. Personally I find it more refreshing and easier to drink than the world famous Guinness. If in Ireland, I would reccomend buying one of these before Guinness, they are just as widely availible as the other legendary stout. It is famous for being slightly cheaper too. I wouldn't buy this from a can or bottle though, completely different drink.
