I just want to start of buy saying I went to Ireland and had the pleasure of drinking a few local brews and more international ones and they all taste better there.
It has a nice dark rich colour to it, a colour you would want an expensive suit to look like. Nice rich feel in the mouth creamy and full, a little sweeter than expected but nice and Stouty. Smelled like roasted barely and coffee. I would go back just to have another.
Been trying to find this everywhere in Canada. Also to who ever said they purchased a 4 pack for 4.99 I bought one can the next day in a beer store and it cost me 4 euro for one so thats about 7.20 with the exchange.
Ireland has about a 21percent tax on almost everything, but definetly worth it.

Nitro-tap at O'Neill's Bar & Restaurant, Dublin, Ireland
A: The beer is close to being jet black in color – when held up to a bright light, only traces of reddish amber are visible near the edge of the glass. It poured with a finger high creamy tan head that has superior retention properties and hardly died down.
S: Light aromas of roasted malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of dry, roasted malts and a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light-bodied, creamy, somewhat dry, and smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink, especially due to its light-bodied nature.

Tough to find these days. Great, wonderful, spectacular Irish beer. I love it anyway I can get it. Nice change from Guinness and Murphy's just cause, why not? Was my first pint in Ireland at the Shannon airport directly off the red eye flight from Boston. Instant love with this beer. Not as available, really anyway compared to Guinness or Murphy's but that is what you beer snob dweebs are pretty much into, yeah? Go out getcha some Beamish!!! (If you can find it! And let me know where in the US it was found!)
