Stay Grounded is a mixture of lively refreshing hops with soulful roast. Liberal amounts of Simcoe and Mosaic hops awaken aromas of passion fruit and resin. Nuances of jasmine and black currant are aroused by Tanzanian Peaberry coffee beans locally roasted by Cactus Creek Coffee. The result is a blend of tropical fruit and roast bound by piney resin. Stay Grounded and tip your local barista one of these!

Look: It pours dark golden and clear with a white head that has moderate head retention.
Smell: There is a heavy initial aroma of coffee and roast. There are faint hints of citrus in the background.
Taste: The flavors, up front, have a balance of coffee, roast, and some citrus. There are some grain elements in the background. There are also some spicy elements as the beer warms.
Feel: It has a moderate body with high bitterness in the finish.
Overall, the coffee flavors are inviting and the roast is supporting. The balance is towards the coffee and roast with the hops way in the background.

Can into a shaker pint.
A. Clear orange gold with a finger of fizzy white head thin lacing.
S. Aroma Is very balanced and floral with light notes of roasted coffee, pine, lemongrass.
T. More of the coffee comes comes out, which is very green and fruity from the variety of beans used. Mild floral and pine hop notes blend in well, very little malt comes through.
M. Great balance of hops to coffee make for a medium feel with perfect bitterness.
O. True to its name it is a solid breakfast beer.

My first try of Southern Pines.Pours into an imperial nonic a clear rich brass color with a soapy-like half finger white head atop.An interesting mix of roasted coffee and floral/citric hops in the nose, both meld well together.More of a mellow feel that's just a tad light in the back end.The flavors really blend in together with the coffee roast and tangerine-like hop flavors making for almost a dank-like element,I can't put my finger on but I'am really liking.I have had other coffee infused IPA's but this comes together the best of date, very nice.

My first coffee IPA. Better than I had expected. Nice all around beer. Coffee is pretty subtle and mainly on the finish

Poured into a Duvel tulip. No readable freshness date.
A- Pours a medium amber color with a 3/4 inch off-white head that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a half sheet of sheer surface foam. Semi-resilient lacing leaves large clots behind.
S- Fruity, slightly dank hop nose with a hint of coffee.
T- The hops set in first with a nice citrus note and medium bitterness, then comes the coffee which is light in comparison to the hops. The two complement each other quite well and make the drinking experience very smooth and pleasant.
M- Somewhat sharp with medium carbonation and a body leaning toward the lighter side.
O- The drinkability factor on this is through the roof. So incredibly crushable for some reason. I was hoping for a bit more coffee like in the Stone Dayman, but the fact that this goes down so very easily makes me not care.

Pours crystal clear slightly copper colored with a white head that faded and left only a speck of lacing in my Duvel tulip. The nose is citrus fruits, coffee, jasmine, sweetness and pine. The taste is the same as the nose with the citrus being the least tasted element. The jasmine flowers and pine are the stars with the coffee appearing at the end to add to the pine bitterness. This is a quite tasty beer.

A: Pours a clear medium copper in color with light to moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate to strong golden yellow highlights. The beer has a finger tall foamy beige head that slowly reduces to a large patch of mottled thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of tropical/passionfruit, citrus/grapefruit pith, pine/resin, and citrus/grapefruit hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of caramel malts + freshly roasted light roast coffee. Hints of floral/jasmine aromas.
T: Upfront there is a light to moderate flavor of caramel malts with a hint of sweetness and moderate flavors of fresh lightly roasted coffee + a hint of floral/jasmine. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of tropical/passionfruit, citrus/grapefruit pith, pine/resin, and citrus/grapefruit hops which impart a moderate amount of bitterness which fades away pretty quickly.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp upfront with a moderate amounts of slickness/oiliness in the finish.
O: I'm a big fan of coffee IPAs and I'm a fan of this one which is the easiest drinking of all the ones I have tried so far. Alcohol is well hidden and there is some bitterness from the coffee and hops but it is not aggressive and really delivers an enjoyable flavor + aroma. Definitely one to grab if you like coffee and IPAs.

Clear gold with a sudsy, off-white head. Aroma is a balance between bright coffee bean roast and spicy, dank pine and pineapple hops. Continued impressive balance in the flavor: fresh lightly roasted coffee, resinous pine, a little tropical fruit, and green hop bitterness. Medium, easy-drinking, oily feel - nice and crisp. Definitely among the best combinations of hops and coffee I've had.
