12 oz. bottle into a Perfect Pint.

A: Good-sized, slightly pink head with a good mix of bubbles atop a hazy brown body with plenty of floaties--bottle-refermented, as stated. Can't find a date on the bottle, though. Too foggy to make out any carbonation. Head settles with some celerity, with a few patchy islands of lacing. A nice, rustic look to it.

S: Enchanting--nutty, a touch sweet, and unexpectedly tart, almost perfume-like. Perhaps the hops add that kick? Not the typically earthy English hops, for sure. Quite nice. I think this has been sitting on the shelf some time, but that's done wonders to it.

T: Just a slight touch sour, otherwise very typical brown ale flavors--English maltiness all the way, with perhaps a trace of diacetyl. Hops are there for bittering, but not well-defined--to style, I say. Really good...really good. A touch alcoholic, if anything.

M: Lower end of the carbonation spectrum, but otherwise a good, full beer. Not watery.

D: Very good. Thoughtful, but within the style, and with a manageable ABV, this beer would suit many palates.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a handglass.

A: Medium brown. Pours a 2 finger, frothy, brown-white head. Settles very slowly and unevenly, leaving some dry sticky residue behind as it does. Persistent lacing.

S: Roasted malt, plenty of raisin and molasses and some tea leaf.

T: Very woody roasted malt. Slight peaty bitterness.

M: Bitter notes linger on the palate briefly before disappearing into the nether.

D: Not much resistance but worth savoring.

Atmosphere is excellent. Very nice frothy head, and plenty of persistent lacing. Nose is roasted malt accentuated with sweet and herbal components. Hearty wood-roasted malt with a little bitter finish. Overall, this is a really good quaff.

Recently stumbled across my notes from The Festival 2012. Lets do this!

A - Poured a nice solid hazy brown hue with a good creamy light brown head that fades to leave a thin, soft blanket.

S - Aromas are tons of barley, sugars, grapefruit, pine, caramel. Nice.

T - Taste is more of the same with the hops and caramel mxing to create a bit of an herbal tea thing. Not really a huge fan, but darn are the citrus hops solid!

M - Mouthfeel is solid for the style. Very drinkable.

O - Overall, solid assessable offering for Baird.

A: The beer is clear copper in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high light beige head that died down but consistently left a thin head covering the surface and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of gooseberries and nutty malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste has an interesting mix of flavors of gooseberries and nutty malts along with hints of herbal hops and sweetness. A light amount of bitterness is present.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and slightly watery on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The flavors of this beer seem hoppy for the style, but without the associated bitterness—it's like a hybrid between an English Brown Ale and an English Pale Ale. It is easy to drink yet quite flavorful.

Appearance- slightly hazy brown little head and little lacing.

Aroma- caramel, cofee/tofee vanilla some light florals.

Taste- crisp with a somewhat subdued malt character (as compared to newcastle) some buttery carmely flavors through out the middle and a little bit of a lingering bitter finish. Nobel hops

Mouthfeel- light to medium bodied, once the carbonation settles down

Overall- a decent brown not one I would necessarily seek out but good. I would say this might be more of an american brown because it is a little more hop forward than I am used to,
