5% ABV per the label.

Pours a murky dark orange with a foamy beige head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of tea, citrus fruit, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus juice, citrus zest, and tea flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with an interesting tea like presence in both the smell and taste that works well with the citrus forward hops.

Serving type: bottle.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium coppery amber with a half finger white head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, light stone fruit, citrus, lightl grassy hops. Flavor is bready malt, grassy and citrus hops with a light fruity component. Medium bodied. A fairly full bodied pale ale that has more malt depth than usual. The hops seem tired in this one, possibly due to age on this imported bottle with no dating. I really liked the almost estery fruit and malt base for this enough to wish I knew what the hops tasted like fresh. A nice tasting pale ale with good hop presence, but not much hop herbal flavor. Another enjoyable Baird ale.

Teku glass.

A: amber, with big, medium lasting, white head, medium lacing;

S: low aroma of citrus (lemon, orange), low aroma of caramel/honey based malts, hints of floral/herbal aromas

T: low to medium orange peel-like bitterness, some caramel and bread notes, bitterness from medium till the end is consistant not so strong, also some peppery notes, quite well balanced.

M: light body, semi-dry, thicky, moderate carbonation, finishing is lightly hoppy and dry , no alcohol warmth.

O: Very simple pale ale, quite refreshing, little bi too dry on palate. There is on info about bottled date I think mine could be quite old and all the described tropical and citrus hoppy aromas could go away.
