Slightly murky dark straw color, with a small and coarse head.
Smell is of light citrus, very refreshing and, well, "summery".
The light and refreshing citrus of the smell is immediately evident in the taste, not bitter, slightly sweet with a touch of tartness, slightly spicy, really refreshing. However there's also a very strong belgian yeast flavor that competes with the citrus for dominance, and the result is a little weird. Both of these component flavors are pretty good, but they don't really mesh all that well, leaving one with the vague impression that somebody poured Hoegaarden into your citrusy American Ale...
Medium body, satisfying but not heavy or cloying.
As mentioned, this is a weird beer that feels a little awkward. In the end, though, it's still pretty good; the light citrusy taste is wonderfully refreshing, and hey, Hoegaarden's not a bad summer beer either...
