Golden in color, described by the brewery as "Munich Type" and having "a uniquely soft, hoppy aftertaste" more characteristic of the Festbier style. A truly German import brewed according to the German Purity Law, as are all Warsteiner beers, in limited quantities especially for Oktoberfest celebrations. This special edition has a well-balanced, mild and smooth taste with a uniquely soft, hoppy aftertaste and 5.9% alcohol. So bring a bit of Germany with you to your next Oktoberfest celebration and bring a Warsteiner Oktoberfest Special Edition.

12oz bottle -> american pint
best before 21.May.11 screened on label
Pours a clear pale orange with touches of gold. A small wispy head, settles to thin solid layer of suds. Some real impressive rings of cliffed lace. Medium steady carbonation rises.
Nose: Faint malts, corn
Medium body that finished clean. Caramel malt with some tart fruit flavors. Spicy bitterness with some nuttiness on the tongue. Easy to drink and not to complicated.
A good session brew that I wouldn't turn down.

A classic German seasonal marzen. Great orange-brown color with an emphasis on malty sweetness. My favorite of the autumn beers, but very hard to find. One of my top 10 beers in the world.

Poured from a can into a tulip glass. Date on can is May, 14, 2024.
Look: Large, off-white head.
Smell: Malty and sweet. Bread.
Taste: Less sweet than the nose but still fairly sweet. Bitter finish.
Feel: Slighly viscous.
Overall: Nothing to write home about but it gets the job done.

Aroma is caramel malt and bread.
Tastes well-balanced, mild and smooth with a soft, hoppy aftertaste and 5.9% alcohol.
Fine mouthfeel, mid carbonation.
Overall, a decent Festbier, especially at $15.99 for a 24 pack!

On tap at Crust Alpharetta Oct 2023
Does not resemble typical Oktoberfest style at all; slightly sweet and hoppy, almost like a poor belgian ipa

This was a bit different than I expected.
It resembles more a Festbier than an Oktoberfest.
That said, I thoroughly enjoyed it, more so than their standard offering.
This one is easy to have several of without becoming full or bloated.
I'll definitely get it again next year.

It pours a golden yellow into the glass with a moderate head and lacing. There is a light bready smell. The body is slightly fuller than some other festbiers and it is balanced with a hoppy aftertaste. The carbonation is relatively light so the mouthfeel is smooth and not biting. Overall it is at minimum a very good beer. The "okay" rating does not make sense because it is at least as good as other festbiers.

Translucent gold body with a large, off white head that left good lacing. Bready, moderately sweet aroma with a touch of floral hops. Smooth malt focused taste that does not skimp on the hops as they thrive in the aftertaste. Nicely carbonated, medium bodied mouthfeel. Thinking of this one as less marzen and more 'fest'. A real treat.

Look: Clear gold with about a half inch white head; good retention.
Smell: Sweet malts and hops.
Taste: Follows smell, blend of sweet and earthy/bitter. Aftertaste is more on the bitter side.
Feel: Normal carbonation, medium-light body.
Overall: Solid, drinkable brew.
