Pours a deep gold from a 12oz bottle to a pint glass.
big foamy head that lasts a bit.
smells pretty clean, although i detect some munich malt faintly.
not a lot of hops on the nose as expected.
taste is nice. a faint toasty malt going on but very crisp and light. you can sure tell this beer was made for mass consumption, but it's quite enjoyable. got this right as it came out late in august. i'm a fan of marzen and this doesn't really match up to most. really good none the less. i can't wait for the paulaner okto's to come out though.
mouth feel is nice and light. drinkability is there.

I had this on tap at Bierstube in Anaheim. It is a good, very enjoyable oktoberfest.
It looksgood,a nice light brownish copper with a creamyoff-white head, some lace.
Aroma is a nice, simple but full-bodied oktoberfest with lightly caramelized barley and bread crust, light herb.
Taste is a very good, solid oktoberfest with the same basic elements as the aroma, nicely balanced, light sweetness, light zesty bitterness. It's great alone or with German food. Feel is nice, not watery, slightly lively. It's a great easy-drinking but tasty beer.
