A seasonal, full-bodied winter beer with a warm and rich copper-red amber color. A satisfying malty taste sensation masterfully balanced with subtle hoppy bitterness. A perfect fit for celebrating the Winter season.

Pours into a pilsner a deep bronze color with a large slight off white head that is gone pretty quickly.Caramel malts and a iron/metallic tinge in the nose.Grainy on the palate with light caramel sweetness, that metallic tinge is there as well in the finish. No frills and kinda boring,I wasn't expecting a whole lot here...and that's what I got.Not horrible just really unassuming.

Pours a hazelnut brown color with a huge, bubbly head.
Smells of coppery malts with a hint of evenky sweet straw.
Drinks expectedly easy, light bodied and malty, without any taste development to speak of.
Tastes of caramel malts with a rustic bread crust quality, among copper and a note of straw. Turns even sweeter then with a watery finish.
For 5.6 abv not much is going on in this, after its inital malt foundation is established.

I really can't believe that people are reviewing this bier and complaining that it isn't hoppy enough. People, this is a dunkel.
The beer has a wonderful deep amber color. A German head which hangs around for at least a few mins. The aroma is rather mild. The flavor has that smooth dunkel malty character with just a touch of bitterness lingering in the background.

It has a very inviting amber color. The aroma is nutty, with a hint of toastiness. The taste is a sweet bready malt, with a hint of caramel and herbal bitterness. Very nice.

Maybe they forgot the flavor back in germany? There is almost no flavor to this beer at all, practically no smell either. It's possibly the most flavorless beer I've ever tasted, Only reason I didn't rate it a 1 is because it doesn't taste bad but instead tastes like nothing.

Warsteiner "Winter"
,33 l brown glass bottle, "Best Before: 27.JUL.16"
Warsteiner's "Winter" pours a clear copper colored body beneath a creamy head of khaki. The aroma is nutty, and gently caramelish and that continues in the flavor, but it's also toasty and balanced by a herbal and gently spicy hop character. There's also a suggestion of dark fruit, perhaps raisins and cherries, which is intriguing. It's quite malty, especially for a beer of just 5.6% ABV, yet it remains balanced. It's interesting, and I'm not sure how I would categorize it as, I don't think it fits any "German" style category - and yet it's completely German in character! Wonderful!
