P: Translucent body of dark brown color and ruby tints. Looks similar to soda and displays a small off white cap of fast fading head.
S: Robust roasted malts, toffee, bitter coffee, ground grains, pet shop wood bedding, the roast has almost a smoked aroma like stale half smoked cigars.
T/M: Spicy carbonation strikes in a medium body with loads of roasted/burnt malt flavors. Mostly earthy and not much sweetness apparent. Hints of apple peels, metal, and bitter grapes. Taste seems muddled and lost under the overpowering burnt malts.
O: Not a huge fan of this one. Too much burnt presence and really no sweetness that stands out. I had to search too hard for the flavors that are expected. Spices are dull and the mix is just blurred. Maybe better on tap.
