The lighter taste (naturally, given the nature of this beast) of this beer gives me pause initially, but the Warsteiner goodness comes through. At this point I find Michelob Ultra to be my preferable light beer, but this one is quite nice. 2010/05/08

if ever there was a beer you could drink 200 of, this is surely it. without being andre the giant, this is the best beer for that purpose, hands down. fresh and clean and bright on tap, with all the elements of a good pilsener, but simplified just enough and reduced in alcohol content just enough to be forever crushable. drink this by the liter, no shame, and have it with a fatty plate of schnitzel and not get full from it, highly impressive slam session here. still traditionally german though, which i like a lot, hoppy on the back and and not watery in body, meaning it still has flavor, especially compared to an american light adjunct lager, really there is no comparison. i like everything about this, and maybe prefer the original warsteiner, but this has a lot to offer. a great food beer, summer beer, and session beer, with plenty of flavor and grain character. carbonated as they come, and well dry, it works on a lot of levels. best served in a liter glassware from the brewery, i like this more than i should...

A-medium straw, white head that dissipates quickly and leaves no lacing.

S-light grain aroma with some noble hop aroma.

T-some bready malt notes with some hop bitterness. Very low hop flavors.

M-medium high carbonation. Finishes dry and refreshing. No stickiness on the mouth or lips.

An above average light lager. Stops well short of being a German pilsner, as you would expect from a light lager.

I was very unimpressed with Warsteiner's light lager. There wasn't anything that special about it. It was very light in color and had little head. It was also fairly bitter in taste. There are certainly better beers out there. I want to give their dunkel a try, it seems to have decent ratings on here.

Served in a warsteiner flut glass, clear in color, darker than expected, steady moderate carbonation, diffuse head, light yellow. Classic pilsner smell, nothing out of the ordinary. None of the bright flavors i'd expect. I think it hurts the drinkability. No lacing on glass head is almost non-existant. Second taste was better than first, beer goes down like water.

Draft-Columbus, OH Oktoberfest.Poured no head and the body was uncarbonated and clear with a yellow hue to it.The nose consisted of light malt and light hops with a light bitter flavor. It had a smooth mouthfeel and it was light bodied. Not impressed by any means with this beer.
