Had this in bottles, cans, and on tap. I love this beer and consider it a good example of a german pilsner (I love pilsners tho some beer snobs automatically sneer at them).
A - beautiful crystal clear golden with a thick, rich cloud white head that subsides rather quickly.
S - I love the aroma because its so rich and elegant yet fleeting. You get noble hop impression with an ever so slight lemony note, then a pilsner malt sweetness with a crackery aspect. Clean and precise.
T - This really is high quality and precise german engineering at work. Zero off flavors. Very pure and sharp pilsner malt subdued sweetness followed by a piney/grassy dryness from the noble hops. Finishes very nicely dry with a totally awesome lingering pilsner malt flavor mixed with a tad of grass. I find this beer to be wonderful for what it is - its obviously not a huge beer but not meant to be - meant to be simple and extraterrestially pure. You can also tell the water used in this brew is great and super soft.
M - awesome grainy texture with amazing dryness that pulls you back in.
D - No problems here - I can drink these no problem thanks to its dryness and purity. Gives almost no hangover whatsoever if you happen to indulge a bit too much.
Some reviewers seemed to hate this brew - but I can't see how a true beer aficionado could rate this beer low simply due to purity of style and the quality expressed as a result of the ultra precise brewing process.
