Very light bodied pilsner. Not a whole lot of flavor but goes down very smoothly on a warm day. Not in the least bit skunky which is a big plus. Overall it is drinkable but nothing special.

660 ml bottle (exp. 2016.03.22), poured in a pilsner glass. Light yellow and very clear liquid, with lots of white foam which soon becomes a thin layer, as the intense carbonation starts fading out. Aroma full of hops, also present in mouth. Light body, but not the lightest to a pilsner. Would surely have another.

Bottle. Poured a clear, bright gold. Good head. Aroma is of brewed corn and sweetness. Almost no hop presence. Not skunky. Flavor is sweet and grainy with a breadiness. Very light hop character, light grass. Finishes with a lingering sweetness. Light on lager yeast flavor, too. Light bodied. Easy to drink but I prefer my Pilsners a bit drier.

Grabbed as something to drink on what will likely be the last blue skied fishing day of the year. Not expecting a whole lot, but then again not looking for a whole lot. Let's see how it goes.

Look - Drank from the bottle. Crystal clear golden with what looks like a small white cap of froth sitting on the top of the swill. Carbonation appears to be at about medium. Lacing cannot be commented on as I did not pour it.

Smell - Clean light white breadyness with a smidge of grass and a faint lemon zest. Zero skunk is always a plus.

Taste - Grassy though not dirty, lemon zestyness all around the mouth. Stale white bread qualities in the finish. Again, zero skunk so no complains here.

Feel - Light easy going body with moderate levels of carbonation as expected. Sits nicely and swallows easily.

Overall - Pretty much what I had expected when I bought it. Typical German Pils with no frills to pay the bills, but inoffensive and perfect for fishing or sitting outside. Shorter review than I usually do, but there isn't much to say.

Delicate and light base. Would be refreshing but the predominate flavour, to me, is that of tabanone (a grassy burned cigarette flavour) which just takes over the appreciation of this lager. This one is going down the sink as I find it too horrible to consume.

Lots of head, colour is very yellow and watery and personifies to be drunk in the sun.

Aroma is very hoppy, and quite organic.

Taste is very light, this is an easy drinking beer. Could have lots of this on a hot day in the sun.

Feel is very airy and foamy and light.

Overall, nothing too complex, though works very well for what it is. I actually really like it, it is not always that you want a complex deep flavour from a beer, sometimes something light and crisp is perfect, like this.

This is not a typical Pilsner style because it has a much more barley malt flavor. Lots of grains, bran, caramel malt without the sweetness and then a crackery Pilsner malt.

On tap.
Surprised to find that this German pils from a fairly large, commercial brewery, is well above average. Adding to the surprise factor, it has a very pale and light body. Excellent clarity.

Nicely balanced and clean yet relatively bold for style.

it has a light skunky taste but it's not overwhelming like say heineken is, and because of that it is also smoother which was probably the best thing about this beer.

Pours a crystal clear straw yellow with a huge head that settles to a thin lace. Smell and taste are of some biscuity malts, corn pops, and a slight sweetness and bitterness from hops to balance. There's a definite hint of tortilla I'm getting as well.

Nothing fancy here. Just a well done German pils so if that's you're thing, check it out.

Aroma is mild, propper of the style, pislen malt notes and some noble hops. Taste is balanced with a herbal bitterness in the aftertaste that grows with every drink. Refreshng and crispy german pilsner. I would like a little bit more carbonation for head retention.

I tried this one many years ago before I knew what a good beer is. I saw this in the store and picked it up partly out of curiosity of how my palate and perception has changed over the years and partly out of pure nostalgia. At a cool 4.8% ABV this beer is sure to go down smooth and effortless, but let’s see what it has to offer.

Look-Pours a crystal clear light golden yellow with a foamy silky white head. The lacing is delicate and moist. Carbonation is light.

Smell-It has a standard wheat and yeast aroma with a sort of metallic aroma that is characteristic of Premium German beers.

Taste-The taste is similar to what you smell, go figure. It has a simple flavor of fruity wheats, yeast, fresh cut hay, and then that characteristic metallic taste. Bread and caramel are apparent. This is definitely a malt-forward beer, which is to be expected, but it has an above average fruity sweetness, but not noticeably so.

Mouthfeel-The feel is moist, smooth, and with light carbonation.

Overall-I’d say that it was a good experience to have and I am glad that I tried this beer, but I won’t be running to the store to get more of it anytime soon. If I see it at a party and it was up against crappy beers like Coors, High Life, Bud Light, etc, then I would definitely hands down chose this German beauty.

Poured from an 11.2 ounce bottle into a Shaker pint glass, "best before" date 10-29-15.

APPEARANCE: pours a crystal clear, light yellow color with less than one-finger white head that dissipated quickly until just a thin, broken layer of bubbles remained, there is some lacing on the glass, lighter than average carbonation.

SMELL: sweet caramel, some european skunk and bread, there is an off-putting metallic smell.

TASTE: the taste follows the nose, initially sweet caramel then a skunky hop profile, bread and a metallic taste.

PALATE: medium body and lighter carbonation.

OVERALL: this is not a bad beer but there are much better options available, I'm not a fan of the euro skunk flavor so will not seek this one out again.

Very pale and clear. Smell is light and what you'd expect from a lager. Taste is pretty decent and smooth. Not a pilsner fan but this one is not bad. nb

Pours a very pale straw with a giant white head. Stringy lacing. Nose is malty, faint grassy hops, grain. Ultra-light body. Crisp. Slightly sour, grainy malt, noble hops, unripe green apple nice it's ok.

Clear pale yellow with a finger of white head. Beer smell. Moderately creamy mouthfeel with some fresh cut grass and biscuit-like malts in the taste. Easy drinking.

Look: Great white fluffy head sticks around much longer than I was expecting. Light yellowish. Good Carbonation.

Smell: Biscuity. Light hops come off a little tin-y (probably because this was poured from a 11.2 ounce can). Smells very much as a Pilsner should, just a little off.

Taste: Very bready. Weird bitter finish. Tin is still there. meh.

Feel: I actually really like the body on this one. A little bigger than other Pils I've had. pretty creamy.

Overall: Pretty Okay. Nearly good. The metallic undertones are unpleasant. No thumbs up or down, only shoulders shrugged in indifference.

Served cold from 660ml bottle into Veltins pilsner mug.

L) Pale golden, clear, lots of bubbles. Thin bubbly white head.

S) Slightly sour bready pilsner malt.

T) Kinda flat, with hints of bready pilsner malt. Subtle hop bitterness. Doesn't have either of the notable classic pilsner characteristics to any large degree. Has a watery / metallic edge. Just drunk a Pilsner Urquell, so maybe this seems a bit flavourless in comparison.

F) Light and refreshing, at least there is no long bitter aftertaste to detract from the refreshment.

O) Subtly flavoured pilsner. Mid range on quality, but a decent price for a 660ml bottle, so overall I am satisfied.

Poured a fluffy white 2-finger head of foam with sticky lace left over; yellow and translucent color; a lot of carbonation. Smelled like metallic malt and a bit of funk; going in was sweet malt, followed by a malty-dry, yet slightly flowery and peppery aftertaste; some bitterness lingered. My senses picked up a lighter bodied carbonated and quaffable brew with a crispness that was satisfying. If offered, I'd imbibe. It is a standard international German beer with not a lot to say about it, but better than BMC in my opinion.

I found this Okay and was expecting great things
Standard stuff looks wise clear amber body big foaming white head that goes almost instantly
that subtle tea flavour I find in German beers, not offensive just dull IMHO

Very good tasting and very smooth going down. Very mild beer with no after taste. For your average "middle of the road" brew in my opinion a very formidable beer.

Sampling right now on 5/12/15 but had this before, though it has been several years. Comes in a 330ml (11.2 ounce bottle). Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured in to a vintage "WARSTEINER" 0.2l flute glass.

Brew pours a straw-yellow in color with a thin white foamy head that sticks around for a good while. Some spotty sheet lacing is seen when sipped. The aroma is of some yeast and grass for the most part. The taste is pretty much the same with a touch of sweetness that has a slightly dry bitter finish but doesn't last long. Lighter bodied with lots of carbonation as seen by the amount of bubbles rising from the sides and bottom of the glass. Overall, it was OK but nothing really special.

I had it before and was not expecting much but this is actually a decent macro Pils. The metallic touch feels a bit artificial though, like it happens with the Pilsner Urquell and other beers (i guess the hop extracts has something to do with it).

*transferred from previous notes 1/22/2014*
12 oz bottle poured into a 6oz english tulip. Yeast is the primary aroma emanating from this one. Some minor floral and grassy notes appear faintly along with (maybe) some black pepper traces - but the yeast dominates. It pours a straw bubbly yellow with a soft whipped-egg-white foamy head. The taste is mellow sweet with some very light, light souring. Not much bitterness, although what’s there does come through at the finish. It’s a light bodied, dry, thin beer with active carbonation. On the tongue, some lemon citrus comes through initially which slips into a weak floral hoppy finish which then disappears quickly - mostly a clean finish.
