Poured from tap into pint glass at Nano-brew festival PDX.

Upon reading the description of this beer I was really very excited to try it out... Poured with a pink-tawny hue, good carbonation but light head and little lace. Smells of sweet tree fruit and citrus, not really much else, but not unpleasant. Doesn't really smell like a beer... more like a malt beverage (wine cooler). The palate is overly sweet and sour... exactly like a sweet tart (hence the description). The pomegranate and hibiscus never really come into play. The body is light with lots of acidity, limp texture.

I expect fruit infused beers to still have an authentic 'beer like' character. While I found this interesting, it reminded me more of a wine cooler and less of a fruit beer, and I am a fan of Berliner Weisse and a variety of fruit ales. Sorry, I really wanted to like it.

Bottle pour at the post-FWIBF bottle share held at the Adelaide Inn in Paso Robles, CA.

Pours a hazy light red with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remainig beer on the drink down. Smell is slightly sour with malt, grain, fruit, and hibiscus aromas. Taste is much the same with fruit and hibiscus flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty, light, and easy to drink.

650ml bottle sealed with pressure cap.

poured into HF Wine Stem.

Appearance: The color of this beer reminds me of what a blush wine looks like. Pinkish to light red bodied beer with massive 3 fingers of head resulting from a gentle pour. Head quickly drops down to a thick cap and stays that way for a while. Eventually drops down to a thin uneven cap of small bubbles.

Smell: This beer smells like sweettarts and Jolly Rancher brand candies. Hints of cherry. Smells like this would be at a high level of tartness or low level or sour which ever way you want to say it.

Taste: Almost almost reaching a moderate sourness level consisting of cherries, watermelons, limes, and a hint of raspberries! A slight candy like sweetness that is also grainy, with a little more pronounced on the sour end of things. It almost like a jolly rancher combines with sour atomic warhead candy. It tastes really good. Not much funk to speak of, it is definately a fruit forward sour. Really gotta look for it, but there might be a slight bit of lacto in this beer.

Mouthfeel: light bodied beer with moderate carbonation levels. Crisp and refreshing when the beer is straight out of the fridge and still cold. When the beer warms up, it has a creamier feel to it which is really nice. Really, really, really drinkable beer; Silly Drinkability! As the beer rolls over your tongue, the bubbles become really aggressive and seem to expand on your tongue and coat the entire mouth. A little better than a semi dry finish. Fantastic mouthfeel.

Overall: This beer is the business! I want more Ching Ching! It is more of a sour beer than a Berlinner Weisse, but I have no complaints about the overall picture in reguards to Ching Ching. This beer was brewed with pomegranates and hibiscus, I didnt feel that either of those elements translated into the nose or flavor profile of the beer, but I do not really care at all because it that great of a beer. My advice to Bend Brewing Company is dont change a thing with this beer.
