"THE" Mystic Pizza in Mystic, CT, from the eponymous film starring Julia Roberts (and they won't let you forget it, as the movie is playing at all times in the joint).

It's a nice place, not too small for Mystic.

Sadly, beer selection is very limited, with macros, pseudo-craft, and a couple of legitimate craft offerings on tap (local brewery Cottrell's Mystic Bridge IPA is an all-year-long favorite). There are very few taps overall. Beer is not their focus, but with an IPA or two on tap, you can get by.

The pizza is obviously the focus here, and it's very, very good (although not the best in the area, by a mile), and priced very well, considering the area (Mystic is pricey) and the name recognition of the place afforded by the movie.

Service has been fine every time I've been, especially at the bar.

If you're in the mood for a good pizza, a bit of '80s nostalgia, and a chance to experience "historic" downtown Mystic, CT, this is a great little place to stop. You won't be blown away by the beer selection.
