A clean, balanced and crisp “lawn mower” beer. Light-medium bodied and smooth for easy-drinking.

The slightest bit of sweetness leaks through and makes this beer very enjoyable. A lawn mower beer.

not my favorite beer right here, and while its definitely in the "pre-prohibition style", it just isnt for me, and its full of some holes that while good, keeps it from being memorable in my mind. its hazy and flat looking, relatively unappealing but some rustic sheen on one of these kind of intrigues me, so no points deducted there. it smells funky a little bit, yeasty for a cream ale, less like a lager than most of these do, no crispness at all, and absolutely no hops to speak of. the flavor is fine, a pale malt base nice and light, but this isnt refined enough despite my earlier statement, its overly yeasty, off a little bit, tannic and tangy even, milky and thick, weird for a session type style. its a little weirdly funked out, definitely not refreshing like a cream ale usually is, almost gross, but it comes around for me. the lack of bubbles hurts it for sure, and the weight does too, i just want this to be more alive. in the end i dont hate the flavors, but this is relatively amateur for the style, even though i appreciate the throwback attempt...
